Did you get radicalized by anime? Did you really think you could be cute like an anime girl?
>>
>>43083604
I got radicalised by trap threads on /b/
>>
I kinda thought a lot of anime girls looked like weird aliens as a kid, so no.

When I was 9, I thought If I could design the prefect dress I could be pretty like any other girl after watching Project Runway, is that radicalization?
>>
>>43083604
What do you mean by radicalized? To the best of my knowledge I'm not radical.

Talking about being a cute girl makes me assume you're referring to trans girls.
>>
yeah bro i fucking did okay.
>>
>>43085109
Was there an anime in particular that did it?
>>
>>43083604
As much as I'm fully aware that spergposting at frogpost is doing the wrong thing, imma spergpost anyway.

It's complicated. Definitely anime played a role in me figuring out who I was, but I never wanted to be an "anime girl" or anything. What anime did that hollywood didn't was show the variety of ways to be a girl. Tough girls, shy girls, funny girls, smart girls, cool girls, good girls, bad girls, so many girls all unique in their own way but all expressing femininity just the same.

Not fitting in the hollywood mold of what a girl should be is an easy way to convince yourself your not one, but anime has a mold for every type of girl, so it was a lot easier to see myself as one of them.

Genuine question but why is it always anime in particular? Were there not cute girls in western animation?
>>
>>43083604
Yeah... Anime femboys like low key opened my mind to a different path. And that set me on the rabbit hole leading to eventually transitioning once I realized that scientifically speaking my odds of staying a femboy after puberty were no that great.

>>43085344
I think it's the rabbit hole effect. Where like seeing herself super fem right off the start can be intimidating and radically different but.
>Ooh I'd like to be an anime pretty boy
>Especially the ones that get mistaken for girls
>Especially the ones that crossdress completely and are super fem about it
>NGL maybye I should just be a girl

Much easier leaps to make and western media doesn't have it

well done, sir
many anime goons will come to you
>>
>>43083604
nah, some anime is cool and worthy but the association with stupid incel freaks thinking it's anything more than (occasional) art made me avoid it all
with that said i haven't even dared watched grave of the fireflies, i don't like uncontrollable emotions bad or good
>>
I have a strong innate need to be surrounded with beauty
2D girls scratch that itch but sometimes the need is so strong that I start fantasizing what would it be like to be a part of this beauty

Because western animation consistently fell short in capture markers of cuteness and attractiveness.

Over the last several decades, young artists and consumers have consistently chosen more “anime” styled art and products over western styles.

Where are all these anime femboys? lol.
Venture Bros, which was gay codes to fuck and also contained an actual trans woman came out in the mid 00s and was all millenial boys were discussing for like a year.

Meanwhile, To Love Ru which is so straight-coded it shouldn't even count didn't come out till 2009 and was the first gender anything since Ranma in the 80s.

no

yaoi boy and yes i am tyvm
>>
>>43085689
Other than the unnameable piles or anime bishounen that act as gateway drugs, the main ones for me were
>Hideyoshi kinoshita-baka and test plus all the crossdressing gags with the MC
>Crona-soul eater(technically a gender but fit the niche)
>Teddy-persona 4
>Ruka urushibara- steins gate (actually might be trans sort of a hot topic between poorly written trans or femboy)
>Armin arlet- early AOT
>>
>>43083604
I have never watched an anime.
