why is this such a controversial take?
>>43084769hemorrhoids erupted and i shit bloodclose enough
>>43084776ok this but unironically, and its been happening for about 9 months. how do i fix it
>>43084769It's technically true but it's misleading. This has unironically led cis people to believe that most/all trans men have periods in spite of taking T. I don't think that's a good thing
>>43084769If women can get paid period leave no questions asked then I agree
>>43084794stop having gay sex…?
>>43084809i haven't since it started and i'd like to eventually have some again
>>43084794what worked for me was to stop using my phone in the bathroom since sitting longer makes them worse
>>43084829i find it really unfair though because except for one like rough night of sex i literally never had the problem, and now i do drink way more water, i get fiber, i try not to strain or spend tons of time, and yet im still dealing with picrel
>>43084826Okay fair. Have you went to a dr? They have creams and stuff that help a lot
>>43084859no. i tried once when i was in the hospital for something else and they were like uh this is unrelated :I i cant afford to go to the clinic with the gay nurse right now, i bought some random cream from a like drugstore that works but like i'm just generally annoyed it keeps recurring despite that
>>43084769Because at its face value there are two genders male and female and only one of which has periods.
>>43084769not at all, its normal.a cis woman, a transmasculine nonbiney, a few trans man can have periods, a trans woman can get the emotional aspect of a period but not the menstruation obv. ofc it is not gender specific.
>>43085250>a trans woman can get the emotional aspect of a periodwhat does that even mean
>>43084769Most people have, at best, a high school level understanding of biology and anatomy. The concept that HRT causes actual physiological, chemical changes in people just sounds like science fiction to them. I’ve blown several people’s minds when I explained that trans women, while they don’t menstruate, still experience things like cramps, mood swings, soreness, etc. People assume this is just trans women trying to steal ciswomen experiences. Because honestly if you’re uneducated it sounds like some sort of TERF propaganda, Tran women having periods and such kind of sounds crazy unless you actually know how this stuff works. Most people are shockingly ignorant to how even basic biological functions and human health work, let alone something more complicated like hormone interactions.
>>43085518>trans women, while they don’t menstruate, still experience things like cramps, mood swings, sorenesscramps and soreness are a direct result of the uterus during menstruationmood swings from changing hormone levels aren't having a periodI've been on estrogen for nearly 4 years and never had any symptoms of periods, it's not a thing
>>43084829then you go back to your desk and sit there?>>43085250trans men only get periods if their body is disordered. also i think non-blood would be a lot better than "emotional" there...>>43085531thank god nothing that doesn't directly happen to you happens to anyone else either
>>43085798>thank god nothing that doesn't directly happen to you happens to anyone else eitherwell I'm not sure why it would happen to someone else, unless they have a uteruscis women without uteruses don't have periods either
yummy human borscht <3
>>43085803yet some continue to complain of period symptoms after hysterectomy and, though this is harder to draw conclusions from, many complain of period symptoms while not bleedingwhy are you so desperate to deny women's experiences?
i like how theyfabs big problem is people assuming that periods are something only women get and then people throw a fit thinking trannies are claiming they have periods
>>43085833I looked it up and it seems like there might be some light bleeding from remaining endometrial tissuelike periods suck. Periods are awful and they're the one thing I don't envy cis women for even a little. But a lot of cis women, especially feminists, like to talk about periods and use it as an indicator of womanhood, and try to make it into a source of strength and community. And historically, having your first period has often been used to signify entry into womanhood from childhood. And so I totally understand why some trans women would be envious of having periods or maybe even convince themself that they're having a period when they're really just having indigestion or mood swings from hormonal changes. but it is a medical fact that trans women do not have periods. I don't know how else to say this, but you can't have periods if you don't have a uterus or like a bit of endometrial tissue or something. And I am absolutely not naive enough to believe the accounts from the sort of people who also claim that you can lose inches of height from hrt, that hrt will shrink their feet, that hrt can change their voice, and so many other obviously untrue claims from desperate people. And it's kind of annoying to see other trannies on social media validate and encourage this shit because it makes both cis people and repressors think that hrt actually does nothing and trannies are all delusional.
>>43084769It's "controversial" because retards think that "men have periods/can get pregnant too!" is talking about trans women instead of trans men.Look at any post that says the term "pregnant people" to see it happen in real time.Sometimes trans women claim to have periods but it literally does not happen, as somebody who has been on various types and dosages of hrt over 8 years. If anybody would know, I would.
>>43085966i've also seen cases where prostate cancer men treated with estrogen have developed (or always had? since it's inert without the estrogen it's unclear) endometrial tissue, yet if you suggest this sort of thing may affect trans women you immediately get called delusional. there are in truth no hard numbers about any of this.why do you think we keep talking about it? because it keeps coming up. i wonder why... cis people call us delusional because we think we grow breasts i am not going to censor myself to try and avoid that.
>>43086032>or always had? since it's inert without the estrogen it's unclearmost likely this, but those people are some degree of intersex, not a normal male or female
>>43086032>cis people call us delusional because we think we grow breasts i am not going to censor myself to try and avoid thatyeah but we actually grow breasts though, that's the differenceif some trans women are spontaneously developing endometrial tissue from hrt, I would be happy to change my view if I read an actual case study or paper or even just a competent endocrinologist validating it. It comes up because a lot of trans people actually are delusional about lots of things
>>43086077the point is since would do nothing to men it's unclear how common this is>>43086083i've seen some individual reports here and there but you're kidding if you think anybody is going to bother researching this seriously. i mean, i can easily find you doctors who claim we DON'T grow breasts. i'm not even concerned about the endometrial tissue i just want the fact that like half of all trans women claim to have or to have had cyclic cramps (this, being a report of symptoms experienced, cannot be repudiated with "but i don't know what the mechanism of action is") taken as seriously as it deserves to be
>>43084769If you believe males can be women, and females can be men, then the natural conclusion is that you believe men (whom are female) can menstruate.
>>43085798"non-blood" sounds incredibly retarded tho
