When I was a minor, I had an ear wax blockage in both my ears caused by a genetic problem I have. I went to the GP, and all they did was look in my ears and refer me to some other place to get it removed. As you can imagine it's not a difficult procedure, but they said it'd take weeks for me to be seen. Due to the place I live in being isolated, it was difficult for my parents to find a private clinic that would treat me because a lot of their insurance didn't cover minors. I was unable to hear for weeks until we eventually found a place. The NHS is a joke

The NHS is a victim of its own success. More and more resources have to be used to treat diseases of old age because we're pretty good at keeping people alive for longer.
