It's moreso a problem with the online left, which has a massive overlap with trannies. Being a member of a right-leaning site like 4chan or Kiwi Farms instantly marks you as a Nazi in their eyes, and since they never visit to not getting marked as so because their feifdoms are ruled by fear, they never know what the culture is like. They all assume the entirety of 4chan is just /pol/ and /r9k/ while here it's just a miserable incel crab bucket that's honestly pretty moderate.
