Honestly, I don't think people who had a normal childhood would end up posting here.
That said, I have seem people here with way way way worse parents than mine, my case was trying to escape being near them all my life and getting economically sabotaged several times. Everything that didn't involve me being a trophy child for display was neglected or punished.

my parents tried hard but I wasn't diagnosed (autism) until I was 16 so nobody knew what was really wrong with me and they just acted like it was normal and I didnt know what was wrong with me I just thought I was bad at having friends
