are online trans communities dying? years ago things just felt more alive, it feels like everyone is exhausted now and we're collectively giving up or something
>>43117715yes
>>43117715The internet in general is falling apart. Social media for everybody isn't what it used to be.
>>43117715people are dying all the timepeople are always dying and being born and u dont even know about it
That's a good thing.
>>43117719glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this way>>43117740that's true but it feels especially bad for trannies
>>43117810maybe it seems worse for us because after 3-5 years, most trannies either pass and move onto normal life or they isolate themselves even further
Yeah it feels like things are dying down. People used to be a lot more expressive. As for trans people I dono maybe it's just exacerbated a little bit for us because we have more mental health issues/more prone to addiction. I think we have to migrate to irl socialization unironically but that's pretty painful in its own ways.
>>43117715The tranny fad is over now
>>43117741Woah *hits blunt* that's like, so deep nona
>>43117715imageboards are the last bastion of any kind of public commons. everything else is algorithmically tailored by followers/engagement
>>43118133the switch from thread based websites to profile based websites has been a disaster for the human race
>>43117715>online communitylol>trans communitylmao>online trans communityhahahahahahahahahahah
>>43118133Unironically true
>>43117715My youtube had literally nothing worth watching on it this morning. Nothing in the reccomendeds, nothing in subscriptions, just nothing. I don't know what's going on but I don't think it's a trans thing, and it's definitely not a 4chan thing. Every online community I'm involved in seems to be evaporating.
>>43118133>>43118155this is why I continue using only 4fag and newpipe, so it's thread-only by default, and I can swipe right to the algoslop if I need to waste my life some more
>>43117715everyone's going on hiding.
>>43118155I never as much as downloaded twitter or instagram or tiktok because of this, it feels weird to follow a person and just listen to whatever they think and believe in instead of engaging with a topic with hundreds of other people.
>>43118155this. xitter and other social media are consumption-based rather than interaction-based. you just scroll and burn away your braincells while getting ragebaited by the purposefully shitty algorithm.
>>43118634>newpipewhat's that
>>43118155>>43118715Yeah if you think about it, they're directly profiting from causing a massive epidemic of mental illness, and they're doing it on purpose. The solution to so many of societies really fundamental problems is to roll 1st Cavalry into silicon valley and reduce the population by a tenth, just to remind the nerds who's really in charge.
>>43118717semi-shitty youtube client for fagdroid (no ads), default screen is list of all your subscriptions' videos in descending order
>>43117715yes. the communities kill themselves btw
>>43118783>they're directly profiting from causing a massive epidemic of mental illness, and they're doing it on purpose.i believe covid was a bioweapon to cull the unprofitable pensioners & irrelevant old celebrities, while stripping hundreds of millions of their childhoods and cripple their socialization skills to turn them into terminally online misanthropic incels that'll form the bulk of popular support for a future Business Plot coup
literally all communities for everything are dying. everyone is fucking miserable
>>43118883Okay, that's a bit outlandish. I don't "believe" silicon valley is deliberately causing an epidemic of mental illness for money, because it's a fact. Dating apps are getting sued for it. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2024/feb/17/are-dating-apps-fuelling-addiction-lawsuit-against-tinder-hinge-and-match-claims-so
>>43117715i am from the year 2036the internet as a whole will be seperated into>normie internet/social media>niche federated newsgroup/bbs echo chambersgive it a decade, it is foretold
>>43119023What is bbs?
>>43117715You're realizing that you have nothing in common except a fetish
>>43119104Bulletin Board Services. Nona is very very very old.
>>43119343It's okay I'm old too but just not very tech oriented. I kind of realized the other day it's pointless to seek socialization online anymore and I'm just going to stick with the groupchat of 15 straight cis people I've known for a long time.
I'm just happy I got to be here before it all went to shit and chan culture died
>>43119343i'm from the year 2036, of course i'm old(im not that old though, unless 30 is old, it feels old but i'm unsure, but i grew up post-bbs with stuff like phpbb so, i apologize for the larp)>>43119712>I kind of realized the other day it's pointless to seek socialization online anymoretrue, it's sad reallyi miss the pre-monitized web, everyone was in it for the love of the game, though consolidation & commodification was inevitable I suppose because of hosting costslike >>43118133 said, imageboards feel like the last echos of an era bygone, and even then they're not the samei think it's just the end of the public-facing web, there's too much noise for anything meaningful, it's basically a high fructose corporate intranet for jedi mind tricks at this point>I'm just going to stick with the groupchat of 15 straight cis people I've known for a long time.don't blame you, but you never know
>>43118883you're correct but it's only the first horseman of the Apocalypse
