https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/wisconsin-governor-evers-vetoes-5>Transgender Day of Visibility was a mixed bag for many transgender people. The day opened with horrifying news from the Supreme Court, which ruled that transgender people could be legally subject to coercive conversion therapy if their parents and counselor want to practice it on them in Colorado. In Wisconsin, however, the news was more hopeful. Despite a Republican-controlled legislature—with an 18-15 majority in the state Senate and a 54-45 majority in the state Assembly—Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has on multiple occasions pledged to veto any anti-LGBTQ+ bill that crosses his desk. Now, on Trans Day of Visibility, he delivered on that promise again, issuing five vetoes against anti-trans bills in a private ceremony at the state Capitol surrounded by LGBTQ+ kids and families. "My promise has always been that I will veto any bill that makes Wisconsin a less safe, less inclusive, and less welcoming place for LGBTQ people and kids," Evers said. "It has been my honor to keep that promise over the course of two terms as governor.">Two of the bills, AB 100 and AB 102, would have instituted anti-trans sports bans—AB 100 targeting K-12 schools and AB 102 targeting the University of Wisconsin and technical college systems. Both would have classified all athletic teams by sex as determined at birth and barred transgender girls from competing on teams that match their gender identity. The bans could apply broadly to interscholastic, intramural, and club sports, covering everything from traditional athletics to activities like darts, disc golf, and even potentially chess, as has been interpreted in some locales.
>>43120844Hell yeah
damn, Tony
>>43120844yayyyy i feel like a thanksgiving turkey
>>43120844Why did I and A suddenly disappear from the acronym?I'm not complaining, it's just every seems to have just decided on LGBTQ+ again at the exact same time and I'm not sure how something like that happens.
>>43120844:^)
>>43123235Stage world. Everything is pre-planned, coordinated, fake, and also gay.
>>43123268neat, so what happens next shakespeare?

>>43123298The US is losing in Iran and the only card it has to play is "boots on the ground" which will likely carry with it enormous casualties. The Iranians have been trained by the Russians in drone warfare tactics and have massively invested in FPV drones with entire battalions dedicated to it. And they're defending coastlines that make the element of surprise impossible to achieve for the attacking force. The US is still "experimenting" with drone warfare tactics, and all NATO wargames against Ukrainian veterans have been hilarious clusterfucks. If the war doesn't end soon it risks becoming entangled with the Ukraine war and whatever China is planning in the south china sea, effectively beginning WW3 which will like end in massive nuclear exchange. Evangelical Christians are openly praying for this because they believe it will cause the second coming of Jesus. The alternative scenario will involve some sort of deal with Iran that will will be so humiliating to the US it will effectively end Pax Americana. Indeed the likelihood of NATO surviving in it's current form to the end of the year seems small, as the bad end for the US is being seen as the good end for most US allies. I'm sorry nona, but it looked like it actually is happening this time.
>>43123393trump just bailed and told europe to fix his messies and the kikes have already stolen and depopulated a bunch lebanon it was all a big nothingburger
>>43120844I’m so glad I live here
>>43123407would be feckin hilarious if Iran and EU made a deal on oil transfer without Trump and shifted political disposition. it won't feckin happen cuz EU politicians are spineless cowards, but it would be feckin hilarious
>>43120844basedstop tolerating faith
>>43120844I'm trans and idek how to feel about trans athletes. Like, biologically, even with HRT, you still have a theoretical slight advantage as m2f over cis, and a biological disadvantage to cis as f2m (afaik). But simultaneously, there's not enough to warrant our own group...
>>43123477They kinda already have. Spain, Italy, Switzerland and France have all bailed on letting the USAF use their airspace for anything at all, because Iran said they would only block ships that side with the US. The Italians need to fuel their lambos. Those things just aren't fuel efficient.
>>43123477>>43123739But that's kinda what I was saying with everyone being totally fine with the end of Pax Americana, the world is lowkey voting for trump to pull down his star spangled panties and let Khomeni junior make him a girl. And on the other side of that you've got zionist Jews and evangelical nutballs saying "Let's blow up the world and see who's religion is right."
>>43123235it's just like, wouldn't the plus already encompass any other letters? that's how i see it at least
>>43123854I don't have a problem with I and A disappearing because I doesn't identify as I and I've never actually seen anyone in any pride org ever give a fuck about A except to call them incels. So I don't think they belong there, it's just in the last 24 hours I've seen three separate sources drop the IA and go back to LGBTQ
>>43123869What is your problem with intersex ppl?
>>43123393I just hope the post will be ok
>>43123506>theoretical slight advantageMtfs are weaker than cis f athletes. You'd probably feel less confused with more research
>>43123931Nothing at all. They just never identify as intersex. In terms of TGI (transgender, gender diverse, intersex) people I was all for a positive push for better healthcare recognition, since that's the big commonality with T and I. Only to discoverGender diverse people are about as trans as Bill O'Reilly. And Intersex people don't see themselves as part of LGBTQIA+ except as allies. They don't see it, they don't feel it, they don't recognize shared oppression. Intersex people do not see themselves as the I in LGBTQIA+, and that's fair enough.
>>43123995>And Intersex people don't see themselves as part of LGBTQIA+ except as allies. They don't see it, they don't feel it, they don't recognize shared oppression.Yes they do
>>43124009They don't tho. I've literally yet to see a person with an intersex condition, and they're everywhere, come into pride as intersex instead of as an ally. They don't feel welcome.
