saw this pic in a thread and it made me want to rope. hrt has done nothing for my hairline. everyone says that men who take minoxidil have to take it for life otherwise the hair gained will be lost again.

is this also true if you are on estrogen and suppressing t? can i take minoxidil temporarily and stop after a certain point or will i just lose all i have gained?
>>
picrel is from a hair transplant during ffs. anybody who says otherwise is lying
>>
>>43147541
the reddit thread says otherwise. what did ffs even do here? her brow, nose, lips, chin and jaw look basically the same
>>
>>43147515
So minoxidl and fin only really work for hair follicles that you still have. A completely bald area is unlikely to have any live follicles. Estrogen doesn't really make your hair grow back either, it's just a DHT blocker as well. You do have to take Min+Fin basically for life to slow the progress of hair recession. The pic is a hair transplant though, it'd be very unlikely to result from anything else (literally 99th percentile rare). Also, beyond the 10k or so you spend on the hair transplant, you still need to take min+fin for life and care for your new transplanted hair. It also lasts (at best) like a little over a decade.

Minoxidil can revive dormant hair follicles. Fin can do that too sometimes.
>>
>>43147798
Not if they're completely dead sir, that's a different story.
>>
>>43147821
True but nobody knows how long it really takes for a hair follicle to die. Some people say 5 years.

she says just hrt and minox, no surgeries
>>
>>43147866
Could just be an extremely rare case, like the other guy said sometimes there are dormant follicles and you wouldn't really know. Most of the time for receding hairlines they're already dead but maybe bro/sis caught it early enough to salvage the situation (though personally I still thought he was handsome on the left)

its a good idea to use duta or low dose bica + minox for the first 1 year of HRT, supposedly you can just use both for 1 year long after the start. some people also use latanoprost or bimatoprost on hair (some use to just grow eyelashes more). ignore finasteride, if you are willing to make your own drugs enzalutamide, apalutamide and darolutamide are superior choices compared to bica. after a while you can stop all as balding progression is unlikely on E, but it is possible
>>
>>43147515
meanwhile im 1 year hrt and still look like left. may as well just rope
>>
>>43147515
>how does minoxidil work if you are on hrt?
same way it works off? by increasing blood flow and therefore oxygen to the follicles. any vasodilator should have similar effect

alternatives:
scalp massage(rub skin over bone) daily
rosemary and mint oil
quit habits that decrease oxygen like smoking/vaping nicotine
hanging upside down daily
microneedling
derma rolling
shampoo scalp to remove dead skin and oil
proper conditioning
not/brushing wet/dry depending on hair type
cold water in shower
proper diet not malnourished
exercise
collagen supplements
biotin supplements
omega 3 and fish oil
vitamin d
vitamin c

and of course: fin dut bica spiro etc

Most of these don't work. Just do

>Finasteride
>Collagen
>Vitamin D
>Biotin
>Ketoconazole
>Minoxidil
If you're a cis man and

>HRT
>Dutasteride
>Ketoconazole
>Minoxidil
If trans woman

doesnt minoxidil makes your skin age faster? lots of anedoctal posts on r/tressless
>>
>>43149123
It hasn't been proven. It causes water retention in the face which can make you look older.
>>
>>43149123
I've seen enough people aging 10 years on minox to convince me never to use it

trannies are just full-time crossdressers and what is hrt to these guys
compared to what superhuman doses of test do to the body estrogen's effects are mild

Nah I had this much regrowth, but I did start at 16 so manybe that makes a big difference.

trans women are trans women. cross dressers are cross dressers? very simple

Holy shit chuds really do live with a depressing worldview. They’re the exact types that used to call Zyzz and Ronnie genetic freaks and unattainable even with steroids. These are people who simply do not understand the inherent transformative power of their own bodies and it’s SAD.

Short answer, yes HRT can change all of these things but more important is DIET and EXERCISE. Eyes get bigger, skin gets supple, lips get plump, arms turn graceful. It’s why so many hsts pass before HRT. They do everything within their power to feminize their bodies through lifestyle and HRT is just to make it all easier. Yes estrogen is pretty ineffective if you eat like shit, sleep like shit, never get fucked, have a stressful life, etc. There are plenty of cis women who look like whole ass truck driver men because of this (and usually massive amounts of trauma or history of being abused)

Wake up and stop coping, and stop bitterly talking shit about beautiful people. You could be one too if you committed to it.

Body moders almost always make it. And fetishists and hsts too. All for the same reason: discipline.
>>

What is picrel from? Is that minox or surg? Drop routine?
>>
>>43147866
That's insane, the eyes seem so much more open and the eyebrows look higher. I would've sworn she had at least her orbitals or some forehead work done. Her chin looks different too but i can see that just being fat changes.
>>
>>43147571
Jawline/chin, some lip filler, definitely had some sort of brow and/or eye lift

HRT is magic
>>
>>43147515
So the issue with MPB is that the follicles stop producing hair a year or two before they actually die. Neither HRT nor minoxidil can bring a dead follicle back to life, but it can restore a follicle that has stopped functioning but hasn't died yet back to functioning. That seems to be the case in your pic.

For dead folicles the only real option is hair implants, as I understand it the tech today does actually result in actual living hair folicles (not just doll hair like back in the day).

It's about $200 a strand in Thailand.

im starting minox immediately
>>
oral minoxidil made some lone hairs grow on my forehead and now i have to pluck them. it also gave me some annoying extra eyelashes that grow towards my eye
>>
>>43149110
>Most of these don't work
depends on what your problem is and what your goals are. mpb isnt the only thing that makes people lose hair
>>
>>43147515
Kek did you find out about this from the MPB thread the other day (if so I posted that pic), I always skim transtimelines to have realistic expectations/ tank up on hopefuel for myself. This individual was probably a very lucky combo of minoxidil hyper responder, and youthful transition (before follicles died). Now what I've been curious about is if you actually need to stack antiandrogens when you are on HRT my gut says no if you didn't have aggressive mpb. Because as a brokie I want to just purchase minox. Anyways you guys should always stay hope-pilled the human body is capable of some pretty amazing things when max calculated effort is put in. A lot of doomers don't like to acknowledge that because it means they'd have to try, and doomers like to LAY DOWN AND ROT.
>>
>>43151606
ok so where are the surgical scars then chuddy?
>>
>>43151376
real shit I am so hope pilled, I am at like bodybuilder levels of scheming with my troonsition.
>>
Also a lot of you eat like shit, smoke, don't do skincare, do drugs, drink, don't sleep right, are cortisolmaxxed from mental illness, and all of these negatively effect your transition.
