Tech troons, what are you doing to survive perpetual layoffs and ensure you escape the permanent underclass?

The last industry where you can still make bank as a poorly socialized ugo autistic tranny is shedding 100s of thousands of jobs annually. What are you doing to make sure you aren’t first on the chopping block when management decides to make cuts?

In my experience lots of engineers are autistic ugos, so being a tranny doesn’t automatically make you the weirdest or most hated team member by default, but depending on the environment it can still be harder to navigate office politics.

Especially worried about chud middle managers with an anti-woke axe to grind who decide you make an easy target.

Where do you think the industry is headed? Will hiring stabilize, or will the never ending pressure to downsize slowly drive anyone recognizably different out of a job? How’s AI impacting your work? Will OF/SW soon actually be the only way for trannys to secure the bag? Discuss.

I'm not doing anything. I am enjoying my modest comfort before it is inevitably taken from me. My retirement plan is suicide. That's all there is to it. I can't be out at work anyways, I work for a defense contractor.

IDK I've had the favor of my manager & director in my last 3 roles so things are working well for me. I'm by no means safe from layoffs but I'm well connected enough to be nowhere near first to go. Not really worried about it.
