Oldschool feminism didn't believe in bioessentialism, which meant it was both unironically less transphobic and less man-hating even when it was mostly pioneered by politically radical lesbians. Since around the 2000s it's been completely co-opted though. Every feat of societal progress in the past has been accomplished through shared efforts from both the marginalized ingroup AND members of the sympathetic outgroup. Because of this, the ideological core can be completely and instantly deconstructed by asking, if men have all the power, had even more in the past, and are also fundamentally evil, how did women get any rights to begin with? If you have a brain and aren't absurdly narcissistic the answer is obvious, but the movement now is "fuck you got mine" and adult children throwing tantrums and performing misplaced acts of revenge.
