Does anyone have experience with training themselves not to look autistic in photos anymore?

I still seem to instinctually hunch and winck when someone gets a camera out which is what I did through the entirely of my childhood and I would like to look like a normal person now.

masking is bad for you. you will never be a normal person

I don't have autism, I'm recovering form depersonalization/derealization and trying to figure out how my body interacts with the space around it.

Do you do that instinctively? Are you frightened of being in photos?
I try to rember a genuinely happy memory or a funny joke to fuel a Real smile.

I have this so badly, C-PTSD is hell and nobody even likes to admit you have it

i don't understand how it's actually bad for the person doing it

NTA but I assume I'm in a similar situation.
I am a happy friendly person in general and people like and approach me even though I'm a weirdo. No 24/7 masking. The problem is the opposite: I automatically mask when I get my photo taken.
Someone tells me to pose for a photo and I have to consciously position every muscle in my body in some way to pose and I don't know how to stop doing that. Even if I try to think how I'd act naturally I literally lose the ability to do it. I cannot consciously take a photograph without acting.
It results in terribly awkward photographs unless they are candid and I don't know that there's a camera around. Even my friends and gf who have tried to help me take pictures tell me they don't understand why I'm so bad at posing for photos.

There's nothing worse than being clocked as autistic actually.

same but for most stuff, im so used to being a grumpy emotionless slate in real life

i dont really find it to be acting, who or how i am isnt a static thing, sometimes you dont want to be a certain way but cant really stop naturally, it's like voice training but for your personality kind of
you're not acting just learning to be different in a way you like
women practice doing expressions like all the time and post it all online from like 13 till death
