I don’t think it even needs to be about the trans thing, just having that long history of being friends can make dating weird. One of my best friends and I both came out as gay and bi respectively after being friends for 10+ years, and it would feel very weird to me if we fucked or dated at this point. Going from long time friends to a relationship can be weird in general, regardless of other factors.
