What exactly is nonbinary and what are you trying to accomplish by publicly self proclaiming to be one?
>>
>>43180633
It's just alt girls and cowardly transgirls
>>
>>43180633
I think people just end up having negative experiences associated with their agab and prefer to express themselves more androgynously to pursue a life with less exposure to things that make them uncomfortable. But you already know that
>>
>>43180655
No I didn'd know that. I think it's kind of retarded because you might claim to get X thing but in the end people will treat you based on your appearance and personality

spergposting in a frog thread right now

I honestly think it's such a nebulous term that most of the conclusions people draw about it will be correct in some cases but not all.
1. People without neurological gender incongruence who enjoy genderplay sometimes, both in a sexual and non-sexual context.
2. Cisgender people with gender related trauma looking to escape their AGAB.
3. Attention starved cisgender people doing it because it's trendy
4. People with neurological gender incongruence who aren't confident in adopting fully their true gender.
5. People with some other neurological issue that has caused their brain to stop processing gender properly (I've actually seen this in someone with an aquired brain injury).
6. Feminists doing it because patriarchy or whatever
7. Psudo-GD sufferers who've been falsely diagnosed
8. People who don't understand what it actually means to be trans doing it because they're confused

And probably a few more I'm missing.

And I've been thinking about this the last couple of days, the transmed position needs to really seperate itself from the broader trans movement with a seperate nomenclature without actually invalidating the broader trans movement. The whole transexual vs transgender thing, I think needs to make a comeback so that we with neurological gender incongruence can start advocating for ourselves.

There is medical nonbinary, which is neither 100% binary male nor female due to a mix of sex characteristics through HRT and/or surgeries. These people may pick and choose features to maximize androgyny. It's pretty straight-forward. If you're not getting bottom-surgery, that's not very binary of you.

There is also social, gender identity nonbinary, which is a lot more nebulous and where you get your theyfabs/theymabs a lot more. Unless you adhere to perfectly strict gender norms/stereotypes that differ from time & place, basically everybody would be "nonbinary" through their gender in some way or form. It's effectively meaningless, but is super common now for people to say they're nonbinary to virtue signal since there's no prerequisite to the label. The other side of the social coin is genderfluid/genderfuck people who represent an extreme "both and neither" identity of man and woman and may very much emphasize an appearance that is outside the gender binary in clothing, makeup, hairstyle, mixing styles together.

***if you're choosing to not get bottom surgery because you like your gock, then that's not very binary
>>
>>43180633
It’s literally “not like other girl syndrome” taken to a ten. It’s nonsensical and a way for cis men and women to gain oppression points
>>
>>43181131
But some people seem to genuinely want to be nonbinary, I was talking with a guy and he told me "I'd be nonbinary if I didn't live in chudland", which kinda seems to be the same feeling some trans people have
>>
>>43181152
How does one "be" nonbinary besides getting a horrible haircut?
>>
>>43180633
It's the "other" category. I feel more agender than anything. But ultimately, I do think most nb people are functionally trans or cis and then male or female.

A small portion successfully are androgynous. Some will cope and say that androgyny isn't the same as being non binary. But that's like saying binary trans people don't want to pass.
>>
ima nonbinary that publicly identifies as a transgirly because it doesn't require giving a lecture
nonbinary, to me, is the acknowledgment that gender is a social construct and not a scientific one
a person is born with a chromosome pair.. that is sex..
gender is a very heavy application of traits assigned to a person based on their sex and not their actual traits
>>
I tell people im nb because I despise bioessentialism and it both filters chud types as well as sets the stage for gotchas against performative progressives. I wouldnt really have a problem with being "a man" if it didnt come with a massive laundry list of expectations both for things that I supposedly owe people to perform as well as reasons they use to justify treating me like shit.

>>43181186
Honestly no idea
>>
gay men and lesbians are intersex
>>
>>43180633
it’s cope for weird autistic girls who are uncomfortable with being a sex object
>>
tranines who know they cant pass
>>
>>43180633
I think cis women get embarrassed of their boobs and the idea of being sexualized as teens and they think that is dysphoria
