I was under the impression that agp meant like agp but now it seems like anyone whos a hon, a transbian or really just "weird" looking( sad day for face neverpassers) gets the labeland is being fem and transitioning early hsts? must you only like men? I'm not asking this out of wanting to label myself I know this is deeply stupid but im wondering why the terminology has stuck so long
>>43190137those are stereotypes that are broadly true about both groups but obviously have outliers
The terminology has stuck around because the vernacular around sexuality is so laden with cisheteronormativity that we had to invent new terms to even broach the subject as it pertains to transsexuals. We live in a world in which straight men still think getting their ass fingered by their girlfriend is gay. AGP/HSTS is exactly one step up from the unflinching belief that straight men are attracted to XX chromosomes.Don't think too much about the terms. The labels aren't meant to help you, they're meant to help academics do demography.
>>43190137Using these terms is usually shitposting. And agp essentially just means "a tranny I dont like"
>>43190378AGP is a perfect description of me and I don't see why that's a bad thing.
It's really complicated desu. Blanchard initially proposed a typology which was never mean to be valid vs invalid trannies, he thought all of them should still transition and worked as a psychologist helping trans women of both typologies to transition. Further research has validated this broad categorization of transwomen but revealed that there are a lot more outliers and the group definitions are fuzzier than Blanchard suggested. Other research on AGP has also revealed that some transwomen are strongly associated with AGP but the association of AGP with trans women is a lot looser and there are some cis men with AGP as well, and their relationship to their gender identity and what this means for transwomen is still very unclear.Separate entirely from that is the way these terms are used on 4chan which is dependent on the speakers understanding of the research and usually more associated with masculinity of feminitity of the tranny in quesiton. AGP also takes on a negative connotation here, which is where "tranny I don't like" >>43190378 comes from.
>>43190137what ever happened to "if you have to ask you're agp"
>>43190439Thats fine if you're talking about the actual definition of agp. But around here it is used in a way I described. I have no problem with agp
>>43190137I love Blanchard he's so cute
