I don't know how to program beyond basic HTML/CSS, some Python, and the BASIC language used to automate TI graphing calculator formulas. I exist in a state of limbo where I know a lot more than the average person about computers, but next to nothing compared to an actual programmer. I use Windows 10 LTSC and run my own custom ROM on my phone, but that's about it. Functionally, I am useless.
I was re learning c++ for a bit since I didn't retain anything from college but I gave up after a bit. No point rly learning anything. I guess I write myself little bash helper scripts a lot and have LLMs help a bit but I'd never actually use that stuff like open claw where u give an ai agent access to your terminal fuck no.Anyway life is torture and I hope I don't wake up tomorrow
i made a script that syncs my keyboard leds with my monitor so that they turn on/off when the monitor sleeps so i dont have to manually turn the on to see in the dark and my numlock stays on while the led goes dark when i sleep then comes back when i shake mouse so i dont get annoyed when i page down trying to type numbers in the morning and the monitor doesnt sleep when video is playing
>>43216675im working on a tui client for mullvad that just uses wireguard. i finished the conf file picker today :)
>>43219220shit thats smart, can you drop a pastebin link
>>43216675I make le game in console using c++
>>43216675I made a CNC program for a 3 axis mill the other day.
>>43219244https://pastebin.com/RuFHVqHSgronk helped me im just a skid. i added it to login scripts under kde system settings and now i use the "manually block sleep and screen locking" toggle under power in the tray to lock/unlock monitor sleep for video and have a keyboard shortcut for instant turn off screen which even overrides video playback. the 7 seconds makes it line up perfectly for when the monitor actually goes black after losing hdmi signal and the 1 second means its comes back immediately on mouse move. i like it
i made a script that shows my volume for dwmblocks, and it gets an update request every time i press the button that changes my volumecurrently taking a class on x86-16 assembly but we only have a few programming projects.
We should make a /tttt/ technology Discord server or something. I only say Discord because people won't use anything else.
