When I first realized I was trans I naively believed that the world would continue to become more accepting. Now, a decade later, I’m packing a bag because I don’t feel safe in my home anymore. I really don’t know how to cope with this. There are people who want people like me gone, powerful people, people in my city and people who have never even met me. I go online and see people celebrating the suicide of trans children while offline I get to hear about another new law or bill or murder against us. What did I do? Why do they hate me? I just want to live a normal quiet life.I’ve been coping poorly. I’m having panic attacks, I’m smoking too much weed to manage anxiety, I’m barely keeping up appearances. What do you do? How do you function normally under these conditions? What keeps you sane or even what keeps you alive?I know this post will probably just get filled with tourists reveling in the fact that another tranny is struggling but whatever.
