don't assume that it's your character or personal flaws nona, they genuinely might just be shallow people who don't have the integrity to tell you why they left. that doesn't make them evil or something, but there are reasons why this is hard and it's not just you. maybe this is basically just as unhelpful and shallow, but if you really have gotten better lately do you really need advice on how to be more "normal"?It's VERY common for people on the spectrum to unwittingly form groups and gravitate toward one another, esp with the isolation and exclusion from the nt crowd. it happens for a reason, people tend to find it easier to stick with people they can relate to and their friendships are usually a bit stronger for it.
