I have been afraid of socially transitioning for so long due to thinking that living in the middle of nowhere Texas as a trans woman would result in me being assaulted or constantly harassed, and after over 3 years of hrt I finally decided to socially transition a few months ago and you all lied to me, aside from the occasional comment or insistance on "sir" from old people or chuddy teenagers, literately most people are nice and usually at worst just have never met a trans person before and don't know what they should say, I thought due to being terminally online and brain-rotted I wouldn't be able to fit in with cis women but all the cis women my age i've befriended are also brain-rotted, I have friends for the first time since I left high school. I cannot believe I believed the internet for so long and now I have a lot of catching up to do with learning make-up and dressing in ways that better shape my body due to boymoding and only wearing tshirts that are too large for me to hide my boobs for so long
