hello ive had acne for a while and ive been trying to fix them for years. i do skincare everyday and every 2-3 days i use The Ordinary Peeling solution for about 12 minutes but in like 5-6 months i basically didnt notice any changes.
i had very severe acne when i was younger but i was able to fix it and id even say i my acne scars arent as bad as they could have been, but i still hate them so much.
HOW CAN I GET CLEAR AND SOFT LOOKING SKIN(im on e already btw)

If you have scarring and have been dealing with persistent acne for years a dermatologist should be able to put you on accutane/isotretinoin. It's the only thing that was able to stop mine.
>>
Tretinoin
But really just see a derm, if you live in 'merica there are more dermatologists than general practitioners, just literally get in the elevator, walk outside your building, look up from your shoes, and there's 10 of them within direct line of sight, the only question is do you want a female a male an enby a native english speaker or someone who speaks one of several dozen languages

I can just walk into my usual dermatologist (selected because she grew up in the same part of the country as me) on a saturday afternoon with no appointment needed and get any kind of skincare done, on the spot, with barely any wait time, meanwhile if I break my arm I'm in the ER waiting for 8 hours to see a doctor, the health care system is so fucked up it's unreal

retinoids and Accutane. everything else is a SCAM

i dont have much acne anymore, and i have been on accutane

lmao the next appointment i can get for a dermatologist in my country is in december 2027
>>43257884
do they work for scars?
>>
>>43257971
retinoid will help yea.
>>
depends. deeper scars need stronger peeling and perhaps micro needling.
or even really strong stuff applied by a professional.
but try the normal stuff first.

for scars (acne or otherwise), the two things that will actually make any difference are microneedling (get a pen, NOT a roller) and retinoids (such as tretinoin, or, better yet, tazarotene). you can get shit without a prescription from greymarkey pharmacies https://forums.phoenixrising.me/threads/list-of-reliable-prescription-free-online-pharmacies.8113/. accutane (isotretinoin) i just another retinoid but taken orally, and there's usually no good reason to take it if you don't have active acne breakouts. you don't need to see a derm

also, if you're not already aware, sun damage extremely bad for you skin and you should do everything possible to avoid/block it (stay inside, wear asian grandma hats, GOOD sunscreen)

C02 laser resurfacing

Microneedling, by a professional, using a pen NOT a roller

Red light therapy

Mesotherapy

Tretinoin

Avoid all sunlight

Sunscreen every single day, even if raining or cloudy. Every. Single. Day

how expensive is microneedling? does it take a lot of sessions?
>>
>>43261550
on the order of $100 for a dermapen (you don't need the name brand, and you don't need a professional). it takes a while. don't rush it -- that is, don't do more than 2 sessions per week, and really just 1 per week is plenty unless you recover unusually fast
>>
>>43261790
is it safe to do it alone and should be careful after doing it? like not applying creams?

i'm not sure what risks you're anticipating. just don't poke your eyeballs. when i used a dermapen for my hairline it was fine. i actually used it to improve absorption of the topical minoxidil i use. that said, if there's some topical you're using that you can't risk going systemic even in very small quantities, don't use the topical within like 48h of the dermapen session. normal skin topicals (like retinoids and various acid peels) should all be fine. just don't rub mystery chinese peptide into the micropunctures
