Cis guys aren't men because of what their ID says. If you point to your ID when someone asks your gender it implies that you don't really agree with what's on there.

There are probably other small things you overlooked. The career counselor is probably better at reading people than a random person is though. It’s also possible she’s worked with other trans people trying to get their shit together, and intuitively knows more signs to look for.

Guys with long hair wearing a baseball hat usually have their hair down and just tucked back behind their ears, or if it’s in a ponytail it’ll be a low ponytail that sits beneath the strap.The ponytail through the hole look feels very, “woman styling men’s clothes”. It’s almost like a girl wearing her bf’s oversized shirt as a nightgown.
