26yo perma manmoder, 9 months hrt, 7 with good levels. I am 5’11, 180cm at 170lbs, 77kg.
I am not sure whether to eat and gain fat or lose weight to get rid of muscle. I have a lot of upper back muscle and chest muscle from gymrepping and it makes me want to unironically kms. And on the other hand Ik how important it is to start gaining fat as well. I’m not sure what to do. I feel like I have to lose at least 10-12kg, 22-26lbs to get rid of the muscle but it’s at a detriment to potential fatgains. What do. Ik i will never pass or even look visibly trans but this giga retard appreciates any advice

Not OP but I started at 29. Long story short, I didn't have money or resources until 26 or so because I was intermittently in school or NEET and dependent on my ultraconservative southern baptist family. Then I tried repping for a few years out of desperation because by the time I was financially independent I knew it was over for me. Didn't work and now I'm trooning out anyways.

I haven't seriously lifted weights in like five years, op, and I've gone through a few times of starving, and then becoming chubby, and then starving over those 5 years, then I started doing stomach vaccums. I'm at like 5ft10in. and 150.4 lbs don't look too bad, gonna hit my ribs with corset training, and add in some hip and glute exercises to see what we can get to. I think there's hope but you've got to be really patient and put the work in.

Ugh i used to be a gym bro like you, i get the coping cycle. However, I started boymoding last year because of the political situation and I swear I accidentally fell back on old bodybuilding habits. It sucks.

2 years ago I was slim (picrel) but I’ve been getting so muscular lately. Apparently my levels are fine but I’ve been working a physical job and working out a lot because it’s the only way I can make money right now and it fucking sucks.

The first two years I just eat low protein, had reasonable levels and avoided upper body work.

Idk what I’m trying to say, basically be careful because estrogen and low T arent enough to suppress latent muscle from regrowing if your body/mind is under a lot of stress, you’re physically active, and you eat in a surplus at all.

lose weight healthily (rate, food quality, physical activity sufficient to keep connective tissue loss minimal so you don't cripplemode for a decade+ like me), then weight cycle with good levels to get that fat redistro

Yes it did, I transitioned in "late" teens in 2010 and was in trans spaces online (IRC channels) at 14 even early in the 2000s and the phrase was commonly used. Sure I got a GID (gender identity disorder) diagnosis back then, but dysphoria was a common term still outside of the medical setting. And even in it because it's what trans people would call it.
