You probably used the wrong blade. Only use fresh steel razor blades. Everyone is different but i usually put it on flat and then slowly slide it across the skin while pushing the dragging side down a little. It stings more then a quick rip but that's the point. Try not to go deep it hurts less and causes way more health complications like nerve damage or keloids

You don’t have to listen to me, but I did it a lot when I was younger and I do really regret it now. Easy to avoid the long-term physical consequences, which I did, but my brain is objectively fucked from it and it kept me from properly developing healthy coping mechanisms when I really should’ve just been trying to do that.
There might come a day where your body matters a little more to you, even if you can’t see it now. I hope whatever you’re experiencing gets easier soon.
