He is definitely repressed but I don’t think he’s a repper. Just really fruity and tried to hide it by being very controlling and having sex with teens. Also, this might be just rooted in stereotypes, but the fucking teenage boys thing seems more like something a repressed gay/bi man would do than a transgender person would do.

I didn't read it, but I saw the play. There was basically nothing in that to suggestion that he was trans, just
his inability to directly confront his gayness.

There were a few lines about him cross dressing when he was younger. The way he also seemed to appreciate masculinity but not want to embody it at all struck me as a bit repper coded.

I think it can be a repressed queer and repressed trans thing. John 50 jacked off 5 times a day trying to cope with the dysphoria. Not saying that and fucking high schoolers are the same, but hypersexuality as a cope for repressed queerness isn't uncommon
