I wouldn't have ever had trans thoughts if I wouldn't have had read tons of yuri as a teen
False you're just a marked soul
>>43273804What do you even mean?
hi repper-kun i remember you showing me this panel oncealso i would like to know what you find so appealing about yuri i am curious
>>43273782I watched Yuri as a kid, but I realized I only like men at like 15. What happened?
>>43273782many such cases
>>43273782Why did you read all that yuri in the first place, why did you want to self insert as a woman in love with a woman.
>>43273919Don't expose me like that lolI started reading yuri because most straight romance mangas are just trash. Almost all of them have completely flat characters with the same copy and paste high school life plot. There are good straight romance mangas with fleshed out character that actually feel real, but they're few and far between. Both "Insomniacs after School" and "The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity" spring to mind.As for why I like yuri though, I can't completely pinpoint it myself either. A huge aspect is definitely the difference in gender dynamics. Never really liked the gendered expectations and dynamics of a straight relationship, and always felt that a good yuri romance was free of those. I also unreasonably always felt that love between two women was much more beautiful and "pure". That's basically why yuri is a guilty pleasure for me, as I've always felt kinda disgusting about myself reading it. Anyways, I've recently reread "Bloom into You" and it's peak
>>43274097I never felt like I self-inserted myself. It was just a beautiful thing to behold and appreciate. Although, I'm greedy and vain, so I couldn't leave it be
>>43274127ok but like what makes it “pure”? there are tons of toxic and unhealthy yuri content out there. also what about yaoi? does you see it as lesser because it’s two men instead of women? or are you neutral on it because it might also be “free of the gendered expectations” as you put it?i agree that most straight ships are pretty cookie cutter and boring, though. then again, i can’t say i’ve read or watched many romance anime/manga in recent yearsalso>repper is a transbiancalled it
>>43274191>ok but like what makes it “pure”? there are tons of toxic and unhealthy yuri content out thereTbqh I'm not sure. Obviously there's plenty of toxic and unhealthy yuri, but I don't deliberately seek it out. I guess the reason why it feels more "pure" to me plainly is the lack of a male character. I really don't mean this in a misandrist sense, even though it sounds like it. I'm referring to the fact that I always felt like the emotions shared between the main characters to be much more mutual, genuine and vibrant if both of them were women.>also what about yaoi? does you see it as lesser because it’s two men instead of women? or are you neutral on it because it might also be “free of the gendered expectations” as you put it? the latter actually, even though I read very little yaoi compared to yuri. I still prefer yuri over yaoi, but there's good yaoi out there>>repper is a transbian >called itmy sexuality is still a mystery to me
