so i am a straight cis guy who does not have gender dysphoria.

i might be a bit less masculine than an average male though, which has occasionally led me being mistaken for a girl.
the thing is i don't find that insulting at all, in fact it feels quite nice occasionally. sometimes even i get tempted not to correct them.

the thing is sometimes i find it so immersive that when i forgot and then later realise i am a boy i get this strange sadness that feels awful. like really really awful. like have you ever cried so hard that your throat feels a little sore? that kind of awful. like i want to somehow remove my body, if that makes sense.

is this normal when you sort of pretend to be different gender? like i really need to consciously stop myself from indulging when i get seen as a girl because when i stop it feels awful.

like it's not gender dysphoria because i feel bad only after i have been seen as a girl. like if i get gendered as a boy when i am a boy i don't feel bad in the same way.

I really wish I could be happy at being called a woman and it feeling right, just as much as I wish I'd actually hate being called a man

rather than any intense dysphoria you seem to be experiencing moments of gender euphoria, which my also be a sign of being transgender
you might also simply have the mindset of a crossdresser/femboy, enjoying being girly without necessarily being a girl

the classic trans tests are the magic button (upon pressing it you will be transformed into a cis girl, it's one way, will you press it?) and the mundanity test (imagine yourself in entirely ordinary situations: walking down the streets, shopping for groceries, etc. Would you rather do so as a man or a woman?)

whether to transition is ultimately up to you. The femboy route is valid too
and a month on hrt could help you sort things out, you won't experience any permanent effects in that short time that can't be undone by a trip to the gym
>>
>>43282525
I never understood those tests. If I am attracted to being a woman, then being a woman in any situation is desirable.
>>
>>43281695
>is this normal when you sort of pretend to be different gender?
It is not exactly "normal" as most people would be against those that engage in this. But it is a completely human thing to want to do that, sure. It's not wrong, I mean.
>>
>>43282569
>then being a woman in any situation is desirable
this is the actual point of it. Are you ready to be a woman in your day to day life, not just in sexy situations?
>>
>>43281695
It's normal, everyone would want to pretend to be the other gender. You're just like the rest of the humanity.
>>
>>43282662
Again, yes, because I would be a woman which is attractive to me?
>>
>>43281695
i would say this could be a sign of a gender dysphoria if you are sad that you are a boy
>>
>>43282569
a cis man would say no immediately to either of this tests. if your answer is not a resounding no ur prob trans sorry
>>
>>43282776
then yeah, it might be worth transitioning for you
>>
>>43283013
>>43283040
I am not transitioning, so I am not trans. I just like to imagine being a woman. Women are hot.
>>
>>43282747
it's not that normal, most people might be curious a few times throughout their life but they don't obsess over it like trans people do
they don't read Marvin Redpost: Is He a Girl? and spend the next month trying to kiss their elbows
>>
>>43283079
transitioning is not the same as being transgender. Being transgender is having a gender identity incongruent with your birth sex. Technically it's a neurological condition (back by ~100 studies)
>>
>>43283118
Well, I don't identify as a woman so my gender identity is not incongruent?
>>
>>43283084
Some cis people do obsess over it though. It's an inevitable result of gender roles. So some cis people do seek out being mistaken for the opposite sex or at least opportunities of being compared to it.
They do not do it in the trans way, obviously. But from what OP has said so far, I can't really see anything that couldn't be written off as normal cis behaviour.
>they don't read Marvin Redpost: Is He a Girl? and spend the next month trying to kiss their elbows
Had to look up what that is. Reminds me of those myths that if you walk under the rainbow, you will swap genders lol. Was so disappointed to learn that it doesn't work that way as a kid.
>>
>>43281695
completely normal
>>
>>43281695
get on hrt asap
>>
>>43281695
You need therapy
>>
>>43282569
>being a woman in any situation is desirable
Do you think ftms and gymbros think this? This is an exclusive feeling to women.
