Its absolute garbage. Whenever a plant is hailed as something medicinal by virtue of THE ENTIRETY OF HUMAN HISTORY, some fucking egghead loser comes along saying "mmm well ackshully clinical trials havent been able to prove this plant does anything- "

THEN YOUR RESEARCH FUCKING SUCKS
There is no way all the ancient medical knowledge that has been passed down only survived due to whimsy.
These plants obviously do work.
All medicine even the most modern is based on things extracted from nature. But these same doctors say that the direct plant sources are actually totally not gonna be good enough bro SUREEE thats why hundreds of generations of herbalists and chinese medicine practitioners still continue to this very day.

Pisses me off. Clinical trials id love to see just how incomplete and incompetent these clincial trials are.

Keep in mind that big pharma and American corporate interests often pay for these kinds of studies, in an attempt to dissuade the public from buying natural remedies and natural preventative substances. One study, paid for by pharma, said that vitamin c supplements give people heart attacks and heart disease. The study was junk, an attempt to get cheap vitamin c removed from being avsilyover the counter, so that pharma could market their own expensive vitamin c available by prescription only, and profit.

Oh yeah the elites just wanna keep you down big pharma is controlling us all

Thats what i think too it has to be that. But there also must be a component of absolute idiocy on the side of the researchers.
Every week i hear about some amazing cure for something but then i never hear from it again, its like the researchers are stuck in a loop that is optimized for profit and they release small things every week for small gains of profit and there is no real incentive to reach an ultimate conclusion to anything because one stop solutions cant be sold as well, everything even research, science, academia have become subscription models. Capitalisn has thoroughly stained, ruined, tarred, defiled the great potential humans have, it is the ultimate disease upon any society, and before a solution is found for it humanity will never advance beyond the dystopia we head for.

it is necessary to determine the conflicts of interest of studies. corporate funded studies are inherently biased towards the corporate entity. in addition, there is a necessity for a holistic approach to research. studies must be confirmed by others. i cannot determine how much information is corporate funded, so you may have a point about “populist nonsense” in this regard. but there is absolutely corporate interest in medicine and generally scientific research that supports messaging that they wish to push. their money lets them do such things.
>>
>>43292693
When you see statistics/ studies regarding a certain topic do you always go look at how the survey was taken or the study was done? What about when there isnt any real information on how that conclusion was reached, but its coming from a trusted body? Or say, its very technical stuff and there is debate about it, but leans pretty heavily in one direction.. do you trust the bigger group by default, or do you find out enough about the field to make an informed decision? Genuinely wondering thank you.

>there also must be a component of absolute idiocy on the side of the researchers.
I think you're a little bit correct there, but the best answer for why scientists compromise themselves to shill for pharma is greed.
Either you take the big money to create what are essentially advertising mechanisms for big pharma disguised as research, or you get left with doing legitimate research for 1/10 the pay.

I think sometimes in this messed up illusion world you have to simply go with your gut
>>
>>43292554
"clinical trial" sneeds don't usually read research papers. it's very common for pharmaceutical researchers to get their base molecules from plants and to research the efficacy of natural products, it's just that by nature of empirical measurement, the concentrations become standardized and you do not usually end up using the raw form of the natural product
>>

You said a whole lot of nothing, and you're not nearly as smart as you think.

"Corporate funded" lol.

Yep, please shut up and make me my ice matcha latte please. And I want it with oat milk; if you give dairy I will complain to your manager!

A screenshot of an article is a snippet of information, intended to hopefully get you to go research the article instead of replying with knee jerk scepticism. Why did Albert Bourla say that Pfizer is anticipating a huge surge in turbo cancers afflicting that primarily the young. Inside information perhaps?

From the chinese plastic you put in your ass and the chinese mystery powder you inject in your leg every week? The wide spread consequences of our youth trying to alter their biochemistry with external hormones ? Vaping? 5g towers? The water we drink?
Idk could be the untested vaccines too, but I try not to worry about it

it’s because a lot of time they rig “scientific fact” or what they choose to publish or pay attention to from studies to bewhatever keeps making them the most profit and those in positions of power to maintain their power or continue to grow their own wealth.. you should read body keeps the score they talk some in that how the pharma industry intentionally ignore the benefits of yoga and prioritizes making money over actual care. it’s by the person who helped coin the term ptsd. ummmm it’s kinda a millennial buzz book but still good imo. there is prolly something better to read on this topic but im not smart enough to know

> mmm well ackshully clinical trials havent been able to prove this plant does anything-
tbf its more
"Clinical trials have proved this plant has small concentrations of this thing we make in pure form as a medicine and already give to people, so it makes sense why it works this way! but you'd have to take it a lot and consistently daily to get any benefit"
or
"Wow this is a new chemical in small concentrations that people take consistently and daily and it does help them somewhat, i guess if we concentrate it and make it into a medicine it will work to cure lots of people"

>There is no way all the ancient medical knowledge that has been passed down only survived due to whimsy.
So has the belief that the stars control fate or there is a Benevolent God that justifies killing the gays... this is a rly stupid argument people just believe things.. a lot of humans are dumb.

>But these same doctors say that the direct plant sources are actually totally not gonna be good enough bro SUREEE thats why hundreds of generations of herbalists
Sometimes they are too dismissive if there is no clinical evidence yeah. It's definitely worth researching but it's rly frustrating how little is invested into science.

> chinese medicine practitioners still continue to this very day.
stop with the orientalism.
modern medicine in China is very advanced and outpacing the west. But they don't just give you teas their grandmas made for them- they do actual science and research things. (Also aren't purely motivated by capital and big pharma, so they can actually figure out how to cure cancer with pig cells or something)

There is truth in what you're saying but appealing to tradition is not how you cure diseases.
>>
>>43292554
aaah yes another plant with a mess of interesting effects and a 2 hour half life, truly the peak of medicine. theres definately no point in taking these herbal extracts, refining them, and chemically modifying them for a more controlled scope of effects and a longer half life when nature did it best.
