>be me
>four years into transition
>try weight cycling to lose male fat and gain it in fem places hopefully
>lose 15lbs
>10% of body weight
>lose tummy fat
>pants fit more easily or slide down
>feel better at first
>contemplate my own reflection
>look more lean and androgynous, upper body stands out more to me
>boyfriend admits that he liked me better with more weight

Is it just over for me? I can never seem to win at this stupid game. I always end up getting screwed over by my body and cry with suicidal thoughts in my head.

Do I just pray that regaining some weight will make me more passing and feminine now?

Take pio while gaining 5%

>take this unnecessary diabetes medication because more medication is always the right answer
>>
>>43311033
Yes I take a bunch of drug and I'm more attractive now after 10 years a hon

So my motto is give things a shoot instead of languishing
>>
>>43311053
I'm gonna say I need more data than a single person with anecdotal evidence without proof

in addition, some more stuff on risks
lots of girls say pio works but I'd bet that the people who accidentally gave themselves lifechanging disorders misusing it are just a little less than talkative on the topic

just be chubby its the best way to pass and be pretty
>>
>>43311300
>>43311320
fair points. Might read the thread later
>>43311489
I struggle to get to and go above a BMI of 24. Unless my metabolism changes significantly with age I will likely never be chubby. Also my bf doesn’t like chubby women
>>
>>43311489
Not if all your fat just goes to your tummy, getting fat only works if you have very good fat distribution tendencies.
>>
>>43311528
I'm scared of that happening to me. But I'm generally very healthy and was underweight for most of my life rather than overweight
>>
>>43311026
>>43311053
I took this medication and gained weight and now I am happier. This has to be a causation!
>>
i have a theory that pioglitazone only works for trannies because many of us live bad lifestyles that puts our metabolism into a prediabetic insulin resistant state. but maybe i’m wrong ive never tried it.
>>
>>43311750
huh? Are you guys fat? Americans or what? In my mind the trans fem stereotype is underweight with weak metabolism
>>
>>43311808
idek maybe im projecting cus i used to be fat. i feel like trannies are rlly stressed tho. and stress ruins ur fat distribution too.
>>
>>43311026
Why do you need medication to get fat?
>>
>>43311849
I think you're projecting. To me the tranny stereotype is white sickly looking skinny (male) woman. There are tons of unattractive fatties too though, but I don’t consider many of them as truly trans
>>
>>43311808
>weak metabolism
are you implying that a strong metabolism makes you fat super easy?
>>
>>43311326
just read, thanks. just restarted hrt. will try after 6mo or so.
>>
>>43311916
No and you wouldn’t conclude or imply that. I should clarify that I mean like generally weak. Like weak immune system and low energy too etc
Fatties give strong "I transitioned around 2019 because reddit and discord gave me affirmation" vibes
>>
>>43311865
because Americans somehow gain visceral fat while gaining normal healthy weight? idk what the people on this board are doing, all I have seen is dogshit advice like eating tubs of ice cream or only fast food, which, duh, will make you gain unhealthy weight very quickly. Just eat more regular food with little snacks here and there jfc
>>
>>43312126
idk i think its genetics more than diet, i eat like shit and only just started pio
>>
>>43312131
Just blaming genetics is the number one fatty mindset. In my mind pio is just another crutch for the same kind of people who cry they couldn’t lose weight without GLP-1. Relying on crutches instead of just… being moderate? Healthy?
>>
>>43312136
i mean the genetics r in my favour, ive eaten like shit and its gone to my hips

but i agree, especially when it comes to losing weight, there is not a single condition or genetic factor on earth that stops you losing weight, even in coma you lose weight
>>
>>43312175
lucky you. If I get half that luck I'll be happy. Small boobs run in the family, so I really want to at least have fat on my hips/butt/thighs. Going back from 141 to 156ish at 5‘8 so yeah, not even chubby
>>
>>43310984
Either end of the cycle is bad.
At the low you want to keep going because it's been so good so far, what happens if you keep going.
At the high you want to give up and eat yourself to death because you hate your ugly fat body.

Have a plan, stick to it. Get help if you need it.
>>
>>43312375
I don’t have a plan other than "eat a little more to slowly regain the weight and hope and pray that it works out".
I know that I could and maybe should exercise too, but at this time I really don’t want to, after doing that for the first 2-3 years of my transition and being unhappy still
>>
>>43310984
it's only just beginning. You need to gain weight back to complete the cycle
>>
up
>>
>>43311865
Its not to get fat, its just replicating the conditions seen in the studies where pio's effect on visceral and subcutaneous fat stores was investigated(a slight few percentage increase in weight) It might not even been necessary but why risk it and depart even further from the studied demographics.
>>
>>43312136
Most trannies that seem to take pio aren't even really fat, they're just desperate after trying all the honscience already
>>
> "weight cycling"
> loses weight but doesn't regain it
> cries
just shut up and go eat a bunch of shitty fast food you'll be fine
your boyfriend's probably just a chaser anyway
>>
>>43314435
pio is also anecdotal honscience though
>>43314458
I know I have yet to do the regaining part, still, losing weight and feeling like it makes you pass less and be less attractive to your man hurts. A lot.

And I hope and pray that regaining weight goes better
>>
>>43314458
and no, my boyfriend is a straight man who wants me to get SRS
>>
>>43314806
It honestly has better evidence than most honsicence that's how low the bar is, Like literally all the available research on weight cycling is basically negative but trannies still flock to it like moth to flame
>>
>>43314889
Except that evidence is about its main effect, reducing insulin resistance. It doesn’t have a lot of evidence about improving fat distribution, let alone feminine fat distribution in amab trans women. That mostly comes from anecdotes and hypotheses due to its effect of promoting subcutaneous fat rather than visceral fat. But unless you are already fat, eat the worst diet or drink excessively, you should not be getting visceral fat in the first place
People on this board are always looking for a crutch to avoid doing any actual work or effort. Effort being just not eating the worst diet you can come up with in this case
>>
Cow combined Pio with elevated Estrogen and she looks fantastic

I don’t want to come off as mean but in my opinion her body isn’t great..
>>43319489
I am not a spiro hon
>>
>>43319489
There's nothing wrong with spiro its just a mid Anti-androgen, arguably a diuretic would make the average person look slightly better and unless your blood pressure is already around 110/70 the BP drop isn't bad either
>>
>>43317456
omg youre sweet (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)<333
>>43321513
dont worry girl! not mean, everyones entitled to their own opinion!
>>
>>43322778
Isn't 110/70 completely normal?
>>
>>43322778
spiro fucks up your breast growth and causes visceral fat growth, not to mention the urination. Nobody should take it. Just buy cypro from an online pharmacy.
>>
>>43323990
cypro made me incredibly moody, depressed and suicidal. These side effects disappeared once I switched zo lupron. The early progestin introduction also meant that my breasts deflated when I stopped taking it until I got progesterone. Everyone should take leuprorelin acetate (lupron) if possible
>>
>>43324004
zazed
>t, lupron user until I got srs
but I used cypro when I was diying and it was fine. my t was like 30 lol
>>
>>43324227
Would you say lupron has or had any negatives?
