>IE: Switching to being active at night time and sleeping during the day>Like, swapies the AM and PM...wake up at 8 PM go to sleep at like 9 or 10 AM. >Lower chance of unplanned social encounters or needing to pass(relevant on here)>You can go outside without overheating or getting sunburns>generally just dress however without risk of issue>Going outside at night is really peaceful and quiet, walkies without judgement>For people with social anxiety specifically night time is associated with higher calmness>Night shift work pays way better>Stay at home night shift work pays way better>Eating habits weirdly tend to improve after an initial dip>Strong sense of pride and satisfaction from doing it if you actually intentionally switch, sense of control>Sense of control in general>No cataracts>If you have that rare sun allergy or sun related auto-immune issues or just burn easily it's a must.>I guess you can game/chat on here with anons from the opposite continent albeit whether that's a benefit or not is up to you.>it's coolPeople with ADHD and Autism(and being trans is comorbid with those a lot...well that and EDS) are....probably meant to be naturally nocturnal? Studies are mixed, but it seems to suggest they filled that role in tribal societies and it's part of why they struggle so much with sleeping and awakening time and why we don't handle other people as well.If you're not one of those groups it's way iffier, but anyone here who's trans or autistic or adhd or some combo might be a lot happier if they don't try conforming to diernialism and embrace the night. Basically just make sure to use your bulbs right (put an older yellowyorangey bulb in your bedroom so your dumb reptile brain knows it's sleepy/morning time) and take some vitamin d now and then and there's no downsides.
>>43318292i think about this alot, actually.have you already done this (if so, how long?) how difficult is shopping?are you in college?do you ever go out to like restaurants (other than like, waffle house)?
>>43318475This anon tried it awhile back (read second greentext first)

>>43318475Shopping depends entirely on the area, but a lot of places have 24 hour walmarts or supermarkets(and even a lot of the places that don't still have them close at midnight and open at 6 in the morning, you could go there right after waking up or right after making dinner and be fine) Fancy Resturants are iffier(You can make it work, if you like, go during their late dinner hour for breakfast), but most fast food places serve through the night
>>43318292My work had overnight shifts a few years ago, four 10 hour shifts instead of five 8 hour ones. It was brutal, would not reccomend, but some people preferred it.
I have Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder, so trying to keep normal hours is like working night shift for me. My natural sleep schedule is 3am-11pm or so. I got on disability because of lupus and mobility issues, so my life/work situation is easier in many ways than people who have to work a normal job. It is still a shitty disability to have though. People equate sleep schedule with morality and discipline, so you will get judged ruthlessly if you talk about it or show any sign of it. and I spent years and years of my life being chronically sleep-deprived to the point of like throwing up and being cognitively impaired.>If you have that rare sun allergy or sun related auto-immune issues or just burn easily it's a must.lol this is actually a real thing. I can get very sick if I get unprotected UV exposure due to the lupus. where I am, you're still catching high UV if it's before 4pm or so (and I tend to be VERY busy right after getting up because that is the end of business hours for everything), but yes, it's easier to cope with being someone who has to stay out of the sun if you also have your best hours after like 9pm.
*easier in many ways than other people with DSPD who have to work a normal job.
