I usr the local kink scene for socializing mostly, I think you have to just be into fatties to go to the parties and fuck. If I meet someone cool enough to fuck I consider it a win. I don't have a particular preference, but most of the people I've hooked up with through the kink scene weren't cis because, anecdotally, they're cooler. The actual caveat to being in these spaces is that most of the people suck, and even if you're a depressive /tttt/ poster, you're most liky going to be in the top 25% on account of being interesting. I think it depends on the group. I imagine shopping around for one sucks cock, but I managed to luck into a couple of good local ones. Unfortunately, your best bet is to go on Fetlife and snoop local events that look like they're being run by someone reasonable. Asking people at local sex toy stotes usually gives you a feel for who is cool and who is insane.
