>be me
>moved to a less shitty house in the middle of high school, life is looking up
>suddenly lose all energy and ability to do shit
>everything hurts always
>can't muster the energy to be awake and alert for more than like 3 hours a day
>can't even plan video games for more than an hour cause I get tired
>4 years later, still can't really do anything all day every day
>don't pass because I can't put effort into my appearance
>only things I am capable of doing is smoking weed, programming, and listening to music
>college is kicking my ass and work also kicks my ass
>can barely even eat because making food or leaving to get it is too hard half the time
>can't socialize because everyone gets sick of my shit
>can't kill myself because it's not ethical
what do I even do in this situation

See a doctor? Could be something like chronic fatigue syndrome, could be pulmonary disease that means you're oxygen deprived, could be an HPA Axis issue, etc.
>>
>>43335681
The doctors think it's CFS/fibromyalgia, but there's not really much they can do about it as far as I am aware
>>
>>43335691
CFS is awful, I know. My sister had it (and I may have it but my issue may just be pulmonary disease instead).

Do you know if anything happened right before the symptoms ramped up? For my sister it was getting Mono, then COVID made it even worse.

Doctors when you tell them you have chronic bone pain in all your limbs since you were twelve and inexplicable heart and pubic aches:

>Have you tried doing exercise and sleeping eight hours????
>>
>>43335739
Yeah a lot of doctors are idiots so it's like running headfirst into a wall sometimes. Also a victim of medical neglect here.

>Hmmm this child was hospitalized with severe pneumonia as an infant and then was hospitalized again at 8yrs old with another lung infection. Their difficulty breathing and poor sleep quality is because they're out of shape, so let's shame the child for their dietary and exercise habits even though they're literally 10 years old.

unironically or they just tell you to fix your diet when you specifically tell them your diet is balanced and healthy, fucking hacks i swear

>move houses
>sudden fatigue
Is there mold in your new house? That is something that could cause a lot of these symptoms
>>
>>43336030
Nah, I've moved again since and it is still present. (and afaik there is no mold here)

I think I got some small cold right before, but I had at some smaller level most of the same symptoms ever since I got covid 19 right when it started spreading for like 2 weeks. Every time I have gotten sick it has gotten worse :(
I'm just trying not to lose my entire life and do what I can, and to some extent I haven't, despite the original post. I go outside, I mostly feign being a regular adult, I make art and have friends and whatever, but it's all just so tiring. I wish I didn't have to deal with all this just to do what other people can do easily :P
>>
>>43335669
all of that and you're still capable of programming, i stay awake all day and i cant learn that shit no matter what, what do you even program? isnt it boring? i fucking hate my brain
>>
>>43336288
oh AND you have a job and go to school? i seriously need to commit suicide. why do you have to rub salt into the wound. you do more with 3 hours of cognitive bandwidth a day than i do with 16. im seriously subhuman what the fuck. this makes me feel so bad
>>
>>43335669
same
I'm getting evaluated for ADHD

I learnt programming before I got this way, so I find it fairly easy. I like programming in C because I have the working memory of a small dog and I cannot remember one grillion keywords. I mostly work on some random unix programs nowadays. I like optimization and architecturing, I think it's fun.
A big inspo for me for programming is tsoding, I like watching his streams when I am tired (which is almost always).
>>43336301
I don't have a job, when I did it kicked my ass. I am barely passing college cause of everything :P
>>
>>43336352
Man thats so depressing, I wish I had a STEM interest. Im so envious.
>>
>>43336433
I'd trade 16 hours of being able to do anything at all for completely forgetting everything I ever knew about programming, desu
>>
>>43335669
Eat like your mom was cooking for you.
>>
>>43335669
