People with ADHD and Autism(and being trans is comorbid with those a lot...well that and EDS) are....probably meant to be naturally nocturnal? Studies are mixed, but it seems to suggest they filled that role in tribal societies and it's part of why they struggle so much with sleeping and awakening time and why we don't handle other people as well.

If you're not one of those groups it's way iffier, but anyone here who's trans or autistic or adhd or some combo might be a lot happier if they don't try conforming to diernialism and embrace the night.

Basically just make sure to use your bulbs right (put an older yellowyorangey bulb in your bedroom so your dumb reptile brain knows it's sleepy/morning time) and take some vitamin d now and then and there's no downsides.

>IE: Switching to being active at night time and sleeping during the day
>Like, swapies the AM and PM...wake up at 8 PM go to sleep at like 9 or 10 AM.

Benefits include
>Lower chance of unplanned social encounters or needing to pass(relevant on here)
>You can go outside without overheating or getting sunburns
>generally just dress however without risk of issue
>Going outside at night is really peaceful and quiet, walkies without judgement
>For people with social anxiety specifically night time is associated with higher calmness
>Night shift work pays way better
>Stay at home night shift work pays way better
>Eating habits weirdly tend to improve after an initial dip
>Strong sense of pride and satisfaction from doing it if you actually intentionally switch, sense of control
>Sense of control in general
>No cataracts
>If you have that rare sun allergy or sun related auto-immune issues or just burn easily it's a must.
>I guess you can game/chat on here with anons from the opposite continent albeit whether that's a benefit or not is up to you.
>it's cool

I already do it and its very good.
just sucks when I had to go to a doctor or something like that.
I tried having a normal sleep schedule but I simply cant,

>Health appointments (doctor, dentist, etc)
>Future partners
>Family
theres probably more downsides i cannot think of off the top of my head, but this only realistically has no downsides if you dont love anyone/no one loves you and you also dont give 2 shits about your health

If you have a ADHD wifey on the same time table that resolves itself
>>
You are trying to make people commit suicide.
>>
>>43339216
huh..most of my suicide attempts/self harm has happened around that time desu..interesting.
ive been nocturnal since pre-teen though (hitting wrong side of 30 now) so too late to change habits ive always been nocturnal always will..but i am extremely mentally ill and self harm regularly so maybe something in that

I literally state this is largely intended for the portion of the population who are predesposed for this sort of lifestyle, which is a lot of ADHD autistic trans people, which are common here

When going to sleep take an antihistamine and melatonin together. A non-drowsy antihistamine is better. It's not to cause drowsiness. Histamine works against melatonin, taking an antihistamine makes melatonin work much much better.

didn't read but i am naturally nocturnal as audhd & i do find that when i don't fight it and instead schedule time in the morning or evening to do outside-world-business hour things, i feel so much happier and healthier. really feels like it's the natural order of things.

If you need light bulbs and black out curtains to trick your brain about the time. Your sleep schedule isn't nocturnal.

People over think this sleep thing way to much just sleep when you are tired. And wake up when you have to. And avoid caffeine 14hrs before you have to wake up. Eventually of your sleep deprived you'll crash and go to be early or take naps.
