Who got the coronal incision vs hairline? Does it scar forever and show up if your hair is wet? I’ve heard horror stories from both options for different reasons. Sorry for keep posting I can’t make this fucking decision! I have a BCBS HMO that is making it very hard to get FFS covered I might just go with facialteam and get this over with

real women look like women even when they don't pluck their eyebrows
>>
>>43391677
Whats even the point of being a woman if you look like picrel

i got coronal, there are a few patches where the scar is visible and would probably be noticeable with wet hair. i don’t go swimming in public ever though so idc about that. it can sometimes be visible when my hair is up but it’s also pretty to hide by adjusting my hair to cover it. the main thing is that coronal technique raises the hairline which is then offset by using the removed strip of scalp as the donor for hair transplant. how good the hairline looks depends a lot on how good the surgeons are at performing hair transplants which isn’t as simple as you might think

ymmv on scarring anyway, I had hairline with an incision from temples to behind my ear for scalp rotation to reduce temple balding. 5 years out and scarring is really hard to notice and you need to be looking for it, and the side incisions aren't visible when my hair is wet because it's thick enough but was definitely visible for the first year/2. If I had bangs it would be functionally invisible

indian women do this bizarre thing where they shape the edges of their eyebrows but barely ever pluck the bridge. no idea why
>>

i'm 1 year out from ffs but i made the stupid mistake of getting a hair transplant with ffs and it looks fucking awful and i'm hoping a hair transplant by a good hair transplant surgeon can fix it without having to do electrolysis afterwards. i won't name the surgeon and the results of the surgery itself are quite good, but god damn, just never get hair transplants at the same time as ffs. i've been pretty much forced to wear bangs to hide the mess at my hairline, it's been so embarrassing, thank god i'm getting it fixed very soon
>>

is qq no good at hair transplant?
>>
>>43391839
yeah i think hairline incision with good healing is superior to coronal with poor hair transplant. but healing is so person-dependent it’s probably a crapshoot
>>
>>43391910
What actually went wrong? Did you get coronal or hairline? Do you think what happened was a common outcome? Have they offered to fix it
>>
>>43391910
plan on getting it fixed via FUT or FUE? not many hair transplant surgeons do FUT anymore but i wouldn’t want to shave the back of my head for FUE
>>
which one should i choose if i have a really good hairline?
>>
>>43391994
if it’s low enough to sacrifice 1 cm or so then you can do coronal without hair transplant and it’ll retain the same shape. otherwise i’d personally go hairline incision and just hope it heals well

fut in thailand, some of the best hair transplant specialists are there, i know fye got hers done in thailand and they did an amazing job. i live in taiwan anyway so thailand isn't _that_ far away and i think the only better alternatives may be in the usa, but i'm not stepping a foot there again while trump is in office
>>
>>43392016
so i would lose 1cm of scalp skin if i opt for coronal without hair transplant?
>>
>>43392061
yeah i’ve heard thailand is good, US is too overpriced. any surgeon rec?
>>
>>43392085
yes, they need to remove a strip of skin along the incision doing forehead work because they’re removing the underlying supportive bone structure. if they stitched it up along a single straight line then you’d be left with loose sagging skin. coronal incision removes a strip behind the hairline and pulls the hairline up, whereas hairline incision removes a strip in front of the hairline and pulls the hairline down

dht hair clinic in bangkok is where all the trans women i know went to and had incredibly good results with natural hairlines, very cheap too, probably half the price of what it'd cost in the us with results that are most likely much better
>>
>>43392131
ah okay it sounds obvious now but i didnt know about that thanks
>>
>>43392150
awesome thanks so much :D
>>43392162
i was kind of neurotic about knowing exactly what my surgeon was going to do lol
>>
>>43392180
btw what would you personally consider a bad and a good hairline in height?
>>
>>43392288
hard to give a precise answer because it really depends on face shape. i notice women with rounder and more compact faces tend to have short and more rounded hairlines. this is typical among people of non-euro descent, look at someone like zendaya as an example. whereas longer euro faces will have a higher hairline that tends to be a bit more square. it’s all about proportion rather than absolute numbers, and i don’t really know what the ideal proportion is. i have heard getting a balance between upper-middle-lower thirds is ideal though
>>
>>43392363
its hard to have an idea because i also need lower face work, i hope i dont end up regretting anything. im still saving money for now. thank you again
>>
>>43392499
it’s really midface that dictates overall face shape and thus ideal hairline. you’ll have time to figure out the details though, just look at lots of surgeon results in the meantime to help get an idea and i’m sure it’ll go great
