Not a chaser: I'm a straight guy, who encountered a girl over video games. We hit it off and made playing together in duos regularly. I wasn't looking for anything at the time (depression and general work stress), but she admitted having feelings to me. I said I needed to think for a while and explained my situation and that this might just be the weirdness from our consistent time we spent together. FFW: I agree that I was willing to try with her, and figure out this whole LDR thing. She then tells me that she's trans. Now, to clarify, I had seen photos of her before, but she consistently was wearing a mask (for work). That combined with her ability to pass, and her voice never coming across as masculine to me didn't raise any flags. Here's the situation: it's been about six months since then, she is probably going to be moving in with me early next year. She is unhappy with aspects of her transition, but I attribute a lot of this to her not, well, being proactive enough with finding a regimen through anendo, and keeping things consistent. This is all a lot, for me, but I have genuine feelings for her and we've known each other for a total of two years, and have been a remote couple for about six. I think I can do this, and I want to just support her as much as I can. Her dysphoria is pretty bad at times (I thought she just had weird sex hangups), and give her a path forward toward being the woman she wants to be. I am trying to do as much research as possible, but there's a lot of conflicting information (and several links in the OP contain dead links to things I'd like to read up on). I'm aware how hard this is going to be (my family has no idea she is trans), and we've both got our bad days/weeks. If I can just read up as much as I can, I feel that would really be useful, especially if I can give her the same resources and we can go over the together. I personally would not put up with this again because you may find yourself walking on eggshells, especially if her mental state goes to shit which is inevitably bound to happen because of the nature of estrogen. if she catches you getting too cozy with cisgirls things will get very messy very quick because then you will become a source of her dysphoria and her self worth goes into a free fall with no breaks it's a fucking emotional minefield that will drain you very quick.

There is a good balance between the two of us, which is why I said okay to wanting to give this a shot knowing that even if it doesn't work out my friends and family are going to look at me very differently from now on.
