I notice I get a lot of pushback here when I discuss views of same sex attraction outside the very slim, narrow slice of culture that is the 21st century modern west. People in this place and era seem to think the rest of the world is wrong and always has been. They arent aware of the nuances in other cultures that cut them the slack, so they think everyone outside of it defaults to Islam and Christian hatemongering. Gay identity was a bit of an over-correction. I guess, a reaction embedded in sex lib that eventually sort of misses the point. Gays think they are uniquely targeted by the moral majority, they aren't. They just happen to be the most visible target. Next it will be trans I guess. God only knows what might come after that, unless trans actually ends up being the breaking point. Somehow, I doubt it. Theres too much profit potential in finding new ways to fuck up kids heads even more. And god forbid we put the almighty dollar second to any other consideration.
