i'll soon be starting law school. i think it's a cool discipline, but very malebrained. what do y'all think?

also, is your major popular amongst the lgbt?
>>
>>43445291
Nah, I think law is pretty 50/50, actually anecdotally most law majors I've known are women though I do know some guys majoring in law.

I'm going to college to major in biomedical science late at 24 after a certification that didn't end up working out and doing freelance stuff to scrape by but otherwise borderline being a NEET for a while. Basically once I'm done I'll be fixing medical equipment and doing preventative maintenance, stuff like that. I'm pretty excited to be learning something new after so long honestly. Not sure if biomed is malebrained or fembrained, but it doesn't really matter to me, I'm just happy to be doing something
>>
>>43445492
that's awesome! biomed is dope, and i would say it's pretty fembrained imo.
>>
I majored in envi sci, economics and history(specifically of modern eastern europe) was going to apply to med school but fucked up my life in the meantime too much for that.
>>
Isn't law school majority women now? How is it malebrained
>>
>>43445291
I am an accounting major I notice its slightly more women probably like 55/45
>>
>>43445291
geology

>is your major popular amongst the lgbt
surprisingly... yes, but not your average type of faggot
>>
>>43445696
Is it lesbians? My intro geology class was like half lesbian and bisexual
>>
>>43445653
well, i definitely see most lawyers being men rather than women. but i guess that it might be changing recently, that's nice!
>>
>>43445709
I know another tranny but it's mostly gays, lesbians and every straight person gives bisexual vibes.
>>
I did compsci

I got a job and I'm wondering if I should do a masters or smthing just because it seems like all the people in higher tier positions have one
>>
I am a mathematician and am gonna be doing a physics master's
>>
>>43445291
I took the lsat and did okay but I was too retarded and depressed to do my applications this cycle so now idk wtf to do
>>
ive been in environmental science undergrad for 7 years
>>
>>43445291
Computer Science. There's quiet a few trannies in my course which is nice, but a lot of them are the retarded sneed type unfortunately. idk about other lgbt people but yeah definitely lots of trannies in CS.
>>
>>43445885
yeah, i was also pretty depressed too, kinda just gave up on academic life, for a moment. now i'm starting to get things going. but yeah, i get this sentiment...

EngLit
I am looking to transfer to Creative Writing
do I look like an EngLit major?
>>
>>43446015
More like Asian literature amirite
Nah but fr creative writing seem like such a useless major I'd stick to EngLit which feels tangientally less useless
>>
>>43445291
Is majoring in history as an idiot a malebrained thing to do..?
>>
I did a master degree in Finance/Accounting, my jobs all sucked so I decided to pick up a second masters in CS/Data Science and now I just can't find a job at all
>>
>>43445291
speech and hearing science and then im planning getting a masters in speech pathology
>also, is your major popular amongst the lgbt?
its almost exclusively straight women but of the like the 8ish men i have interacted with in my classes im pretty sure only one isn't gay. there was one trans woman i had a class with last year but i haven't seen her since. its a very androphilic major for sure.
>>
>>43445291
Math. It seems that it is not too populat among fags or snoys, only like 2 trannies in the courses i go to.
>>
>>43447120
>snoys
wut dis means
>>
>>43447120
lol im the only tranny in my courses ever and the vast majority are cis women or gay men. get gud lol
>>
>>43446015
Look like a carp I could fish up from the local stream
>>
>>43447491
this is a very accurate assessment of the situation
>>
>>43445291
it was originally gonna be biomedical engineering but that was a bit niche and specific and I didn't want to end up contributing to elon musk's biochip bullshit so instead i pivoted to environmental engi which is pretty chemistry heavy and the chemistry department at my uni is aaaaasssssssssssss so I shifted slightly over to civil engi and I think I like it here
that's sliding down from #1 to #2 to #3 highest woman percentages among engineering majors here, though biomed is the only one over 50% (civil is like 30%? I think)
>>
>>43445291
History because i dont believe in having a future

Animal Science
There are a disproportionate amount of lesbians and a couple FtMs but I'm the only MtF in my program that I know of though. I had to join the anime club in search of more of my own kind.

Coping humanities fag

Stay poor I got a job
>>
>>43449638
Nah she's not wrong, there's a lot of the understudy and preparatory work still to do for graduates who haven't been pushed into preexisting roles by their uni. The secretary purgatory exists in tons of fields, and a lot of them viciously abuse graduates to get cheap expert labor out of people who're competing against each other for relatively few positions.
>>
starting my phd in philosophy :)
>>
I was doing chemistry before i dropped out lol. It was about half women
>>
>>43449638
my major is more like healthcare than purely humanities but i am still a coping humanities fag cause this was my compromise between wanting to major in humanities and wanting to eat
>>
>>43449570
I am not an USian. High school teachers in my country actually get paid, sometimes, depends on the school.
>>
>>43449805
giwtwm
>>
>>43449830
Not really Anon. I was lying to make myself feel better. Teachers in my country don't get paid either. Also they get assaulted for failing kids.
>>
>>43445291
did civil engineering, currently working at an engineering consulting firm that niches in dealing with a lot of court work so thinking of doing a JD part time
>>
>>43445291
I'm currently majoring in being a failure doing pretty good at it too if I do say so myself as for if it's popular amongst the lgbt I'd say it's pretty popular across the board actually. Really inclusive too!
>>
>>43449628
nona I don't think you understand
civil is one of the single most stable engineering fields
on par with the stability of the medical field except instead of having to touch the vile chemistry department with a 10 meter pole I get to do statistics and physics
>>
>>43449851

I didn't go to College. I turn 32 in 2 weeks. I'm working as a pharmacy tech. Should I bite the bullet and do it? I never knew what I wanted to study in my early 20s is why I didn't go.
>>
>>43450788
i mean, are you satisfied with your current career?

if not, then yeah, getting a degree could help
>>
>>43450839
No, but I still don't really know what I wanna do with my life. I like doing pharmacy work, but the people here piss me off.
>>
>>43450788
lowkey mri or ultrasound techs both have really good tuition to salary ratios and if i wasn't doing my current major id be doing that. idk if its like this in every state but where i am its a 2 years associate to become a rad tech, and then like a six month program on top of that to become certified as an mri tech or ultrasound tech. if im remembering right mri techs make like 80k a year and ultrasound techs make like 90k
>>
>>43450922
ultrasound would make me dytsphoric I think. Cause I mean, pregnancy stuff. I'm a tranny after all.
>>
>>43451043
then do mri. but also you would be shocked by how often ultrasound is used outside of obgyn stuff, you could easily avoid that part if you wanted to
>>
I majored in "Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior." doubled in Art History for two years before I realized I was stupid and insane and dropped it.
>>
>>43445291
I did compsci which I really regret bc I feel like I only did it bc everyone I knew was doing it I don’t even like tech and I had a nice job out of college but then I got fired and now I can’t find another one.
also I never met a single tranny so idk why ppl think cs is full of trannies idk maybe it’s different now
>>
I'm already graduated. I went to college for political science and then public administration in grad school.
>>
>>43451129
im so sorry. i could see a world where things were a little different where i end up in this same situation.
>also I never met a single tranny so idk why ppl think cs is full of trannies idk maybe it’s different now
yeah idk i think this might honestly be a millennial vs gen z thing . catgirl to puppygirl, positive androgyny to negative androgyny, stemfag to artist, etc.
