Enlightenment is achieved by a very small fraction of those who pursue it and is usually achieved by accident, such as in the case of U. G. Krishnamurti. Take estrogen

I really struggle with this. I fuck with bhuddism heavy but transitioning feels like a capitulation to desire, and desire is the source of all suffering. All the same, the desire is buried so deeply in me that if I ignored it I could not live a meaningful life otherwise.

One of the bad things about bhuddism is it kind of hates women and thinks they are dumbasses incapable of enlightenment because of their dumb girl brain or something.

The overwhelming majority of human beings will never be able to get rid of their desire, no matter how hard they try. Take estrogen

i used to have this edition more than a decade ago, sold it for fucking nothing its worth like 100 now lel
>>
>>43461869
Did you read it? If so, what did you think?
>>
suffering does not need to be bad or undesirable
>>
this is putting the cart before the horse and very few buddhists would recommend doing this. Buddhism doesn't recommend extreme severe asceticism in general let alone for a new practitioner. Good luck though hope you cracking and going repper crazy doesn't derail your practice

i did but again it was over a decade ago so idr. guess i didnt think much since i sold it

sure there are obviously some misogynistic buddhists but the buddha, the religion is not woman hating. he did not allow women to join at first because he thought it a safety issue because monks were forest dwellers in his day. “women can’t achieve nirvana” is bullshit and most do not believe that. in fact it’s said that it’s actually a little easier for a woman because testosterone leads to more anger and aggression

see you in 2 weeks

>you can only achieve le enlightenment if you want to blow your brains out and sterilize the entirety of humanity
kate i know this is you, stop reading this dead ender garbage. Read jane austen like a normal foid and start watching TV shows about the British crown, you are 30 now.

the idea of being a buddhist as a trans woman is kinda funny, because being born female is the result of lower karma than being born male. So if you actually believe in buddhist cosmology you should probably try to lower your karma, you're actually being too virtuous

>you can only achieve le enlightenment if you want to blow your brains out and sterilize the entirety of humanity
I have not made this claim. Neither has Thomas Ligotti.
My name is not Kate, nor do I know any one named Kate.
You’re not addressing me, you’re addressing the made-up version of me in your head.

Yeah; even the Buddha himself abandoned his pre-enlightenment ascetic way.
>I said to myself: “These painful austerities have not led to any transcendent states, any knowledge or vision able to ennoble one. Could there be another way?”
>Then I recalled: “Once, while my father the Sakiyan was at work, I was sitting in the cool shade of a rose-apple tree. Untroubled by sensual desires or unskillful ideas, I entered into and dwelled in the first meditation, which is accompanied by thought and reflection, by rapture and well-being born of solitude. Could that be the way?”
>Recalling this, I realized: “Yes, this is the way. Why do I fear a well-being that has nothing to do with sensual desire or unskillful ideas? There is no reason to fear that well-being. Yet it is hard to experience it with a body so emaciated. Why don’t I eat some solid food?” So I ate some boiled rice and junket.

Nowhere, but indulging in desire cannot be the way to eliminate it. The more I transition the more I want. First to transition, than to pass, than to want to be pretty, than to want a partner...

transition is taking care of sickness you could try to be less vain afterwards
