They are actually, in my opinion, much more dangerous than the republicans. Liberals are slaves to capital but also operate on the principle of the consent of the governed, so they will co-opt popular movements (like LGBT rights) and say whatever it takes to get support. Notice that when it matters, there is always a liberal "spoiler" in congress who conveniently votes with the republicans to block any truly transformative legislature, even if that legislature is wildly popular. Also notice that they tend to agree with republicans on economics 99% of the time, though they may disagree on who gets to own the bigger share of the pie.Yes, sometimes the liberals may offer a carrot to the working class, but only when they're forced to. Note that the only time that major social victories have been won through the liberals is when there were also disruptive mass popular movements happening at the same time. At present, they simply don't fear us and so we are treated as political fodder.
