Thanks for the breakdown, as dumb as it is I just never really realized that stuff makes people hostile outside of the gender stuff.

As for what people call me I get called a fag or a tranny pretty regularly. I've had people say "why is that thing here" and laugh at me, people shove me, people take pictures of me or just mean mug me to death if they don't have the confidence to talk shit. People also honk at me or shout shit from their cars.

Not a bad idea. I would definitely need someone else to be the owner unfortunately since I don't think I legally can with my psychosis diagnosis and history of suicide attempts. I would get one illegally but if I'm open carrying that's probably not a good idea. Perhaps a realistic pellet gun would do the trick? My partner taught me how to walk confidently and to look like I know where I'm going to avoid being an easy target for assault. So I typically stand up straight, eyes forward, and try to just be confident although obviously idk how well I do at that. My eyes are obscured by my hair but that's just the style rather than a thing I do to avoid people. I try to be friendly to everyone I encounter, even the creepy guys but they really just seem interested in fucking me rather than protecting me

There is ways around those fucking red flag laws. I'd ve a bit weary of a pellet gun. People are pretty receptive if what a real pistol looks like. Plus Ive seen dude shrug off flesh wounds pretty easy. Get into cowboy six shooting and skeet shooting.
