I am a 34 year old tranny and my boyfriend keeps trying to dress me up in hot topic skirts and dresses. How do I get him to stop? It is not age appropriate
>>
wear more modest alternative clothing
>>
how are skirts not age appropriate?
>>
>>43543057
girl I see 50 year olds up here walking around in golfing miniskirts, some of my favorite youtubers are scenecore emos in their 30's
>>
>>43543476
the skirts at hot topic are super fucking short
>>
>>43543573
so you can't wear short skirts for your boyfriend?
>>
>>43543057
He’s based & you should dress cuter
>>
>>43543596
im not op but she sounds uncomfortable for skimpy slutty 14 year old hot topic skirts
>>
>>43543645
why would slutty clothing be more appropriate for a 14 year old than a 34 year old?
>>
>>43543676
because only teenagers and early 20 somethings buy and wear that shit
>>
>>43543057
What kind of clothes do you like OP?

>>
>>43544053
oh well, i can dream though :)
>>
Send him this post and tell him it makes you uncomfortable. If he doesn't respect your feelings, start escalating.

I'd rather be a teenager now than back then. Being LGBT is much more accepting now.

Also its easier to get hormones as a teenager and parents understand the concept of being "transgender" better now.

How do you feel about dolls in suits?
>>
>>43547141
I don’t think I’ve ever encountered any irl, but I’m sure they’re lovely. There’s a transwoman who comes into the cafe I work at, and she’s always dressed “office chic”. She clearly knows about fashion, and her clothing is all age appropriate. It’s a good look and she comes off as very self possessed.
>>
I have zero idea how to dress myself and still have clothing from when I was a teenager
>>
>>43548619
i dress like this too everyone seems to think i dress well but i'm self conscious
>>
>>43544112
Same. Hasn't been that long since it's been outright illegal to just be gay over here.
Only recently (mid 30s), I started to accept and somewhat openly show my bi femboy/twink side; including starting diy a month ago.
Before, it was very difficult to impossible to stray from my established outside persona due to anxiety (I did get beat up randomly once, because some strangers assumed I was gay, based purely on looks, when I was a teen), especially with anything that could be seen as not 100% manly and straight. Added on top are issues from DV in my childhood, so I always tried to (subconsciously) protect myself from non-existent threats.
Oh to be young in this day and age...

I’m sorry you still feel conscious; I imagine it’s tough to ever fully get away from that as a trans person.

Really though, I think people should dress in whatever they feel comfortable or happy in. I’d just recommend trying out a fashionable and age appropriate style for anyone who hasn’t before.
