>start intramuscular HRT injections
>its easy and painless because im a big strong tough man
>several months in
>I keep hesitating and waffling, it takes more effort to stick it in, hurts more, my body twitches for minutes afterward
This is humiliating.
>>
>>43575734
Your skin gets less resilient and finds greater sucsectipability to pain
>>
>>43575758
I know! This entire thing is a humiliation ritual, i wanted to be hot but now im also weak and pathetic. At this rate I'm gonna start whimpering when it goes in.
>>
>>43575773
Thats just how it is. It's okay, find saftey in relying on others,
>>
>>43575880
I mean yah i have my brother and mom helping out but like i didn't sign up for this part. If anything that makes it worse because I was like "hah, this injection stuff is easy, no trouble at all" in the first few weeks so everyone things im so cool and tough still. My farmed aura will dissipate.
>>
>>43575734
I've been doing injections for four years, same weird late onset in anxiety / issues injecting

Id normally have a BF do it but I'm single and alone, so I use alcohol or weed to dissociate and ignore how long the needle is

Some people swear that Subq is just as effective as IM, idk what current wisdom is on tttt
>>
>>43575734
I've noticed it hurts more as I go on as well. But also just do subq lol it'll be at least more tolerable than IM
>>
>>43575734
I ended up having to switch to patches because I couldn't make myself do injections anymore
>>
>>43575773
>At this rate I'm gonna start whimpering when it goes in.
It will probably be more of an undignified yelp. You should totally embrace the emasculation though. You aren't a big strong guy anymore
>>
y'all a bunch of pussies. I been doing this shit for 8 years with no issues. Just do subq if ur gonna be such a bitch. If you can't even do that, get an auto injector.
>>
>>43575734
unironically happened to me. i did my first injection in my inner thigh where all the extra nerves are because i was a retarded lumbering moid ogre but now i can't even get it in the right locations anymore because i get nervous about the pain
>>
>>43576396
nta
>You should totally embrace the emasculation though. You aren't a big strong guy anymore
this is the correct approach.
>>
I used to think MEFs were ok but it's getting real tired

I can't believe this

>>43576738
I am not a MEF I am a HRTwink who did it to avoid twink death. Half the shit you nonas look forward to was news to me I just did it for soft skin and never balding and no man gut. Now I'm seeing shrimp colors and flinching from needles. I am still 100% a man so I am VEXED at this NONSENSE
>>
>>43576902
>HRTwink
based.
still, the other anons are partially right. you can't hrtwink indefinitely without accepting some degree of emasculation. it's still worth the trade-off though.
t. hrt fag

>>43575734
Why not inject it into the fat its so much easier. Its like butter
>>
>>43576036
you might be able to get nurses to do your injections from your medical provider. i go every two weeks to get them to put a needle in my arm
>>
>>43577692
i mean i kinda guessed something like this would happen but i am still going to sulk about it

>>43577699
I could ask my doctor maybe

>>43577812
i gotta do it once a week plus I'm uninsured so I dunno if that's more money.
>>
>>43578001
>I can ask my doctor
My endo told me it didnt matter even if the e says it does. I just use a 25 gauge to inject with its so easy
>>
>>43578001
>i am still going to sulk about it
why tho?
after the initial shock, I simply embraced it. I like it that I'm calmer even if a liiitle bit weaker. Makes the dynamic with my bf better too. Also people around me have noticed I'm happier and my face is better.
We're all a little bit fembrained. We're just adjusting the ratio a bit more :3
>>
>>43578119
well yeah but i want that and also having male muscle density and pain tolerance so i can be cool and strong. I like the rest enough that im not gonna stop but its a little embarrassing things are turning out this way. like imagine doing it not knowing you'd grow breasts, finding out it will, and liking the rest enough that you keep doing it.
>>
>>43578119
you should get your bf to help you with the shots
>>
>>43578134
>having male muscle density
just work out. I maybe lost 1% at most in almost 4 years.
>pain tolerance
it comes back after a while
>so i can be cool and strong
you can be cool and strong and feminine. unironically my emotional strength improved drastically (which is much more valuable today)
>imagine doing it not knowing you'd grow breasts, finding out it will, and liking the rest enough that you keep doing it
I looked a lot into this and found that 2/3+ of users get very little breast growth. So far I'm still in that majority (it's really not noticeable at all).
But yeah, if this were to change, I still wouldn't stop lol.
>>
>>43578152
I'm not OP. It's unclear if OP has a bf.
My bf sometimes helps but generally I'm fine with doing my own shots.
>>
>>43578206
OP here, I do not, im rawdogging it
>>
>>43575734
use at least 27G needles or your body will form scar tissue making it even more painful

>t. 12 yrs hrt
>>
>>43578481
I've been using 23 gauge, is that not enough?
>>
>>43578530
yea thats standard, but 27 is less painful desu
>>
i use 1/2 inch 29g subq and dont feel it unless i fuck up. if i take my time and rotate the bevel the only thing i feel is the resistance of the skin before it pops through to the other side

>>43576902
>I can't believe this
>5.7 What is the difference between intramuscular injections (IM) and subcutaneous injections (SubQ/SC)?

>In the context of HRT, there is little to no difference between intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. Subcutaneous injections are absorbed more slowly than intramuscular injections, however this is generally not significant enough of a difference to impact dosing. It should also be noted that an injection is rarely deposited fully in muscle or fully in the subcutaneous layer which blurs any difference together even further on an injection-by-injection basis.

>As a side note, pharmaceutical sources for estradiol vials typically say they are for intramuscular injections only because that is what they are technically approved for, but there is not an inherent difference. The vial contents are often identical regardless, and vial contents are ultimately what matter. Keep reading.

>5.8 Should I perform intramuscular injections (IM) or subcutaneous injections (SubQ/SC)?

>This is the wrong question. An injection is an injection. Subcutaneous injections are often recommended because people believe that they allow for less painful injections by virtue of being subcutaneous, but there is not a fundamental difference in how an injection is performed. The advantages that people refer to are not inherent to the injection depot location; they are inherent to the factors that affect injection pain. The better question would be “How do I minimize pain during injection?”, but two other questions first.

>5.9 Does my injection angle and/or preferred injection method matter?

>No.
