Education, especially secondary education, is such a massive problem in current year. (American) Boomers are to blame. All of these education reforms in the 20th century caused this. We unironically need to RETVRN TO TRADITION, namely to classical education focused on rote learning, strict classroom discipline and educational stratification. Yes, this includes corporal punishment. And a large segment of society does not require an education beyond middle school anyway. All they do is drag down people who want to learn.
I'm glad my country still has the Hauptschule/Realschule/Gymnasium division, if only de jure. The American model is fucking terrible, as per usual.
