Or at least I've heard a lot of examples of it not workingIts so fucking grim being stuck with this voice
>>43595927>doesn't work>heard examples>you've never even triedjust say you're retarded
>>43595927There are dozens of nonas that have posted their voices and sound cis even. You're just lazy
>>43596001>>43596041Where did I say I haven't tried. Maybe stop being aggressive and accusatory with your posts. I've voice trained consistently for years. I hit a cap. I am stuck with a voice that sometimes passes but mostly sounds like a faggy man.Again I have heard so many examples of people in my shoes who opted for VFS and the results just aren't there>errmmmm some people cispass voiceYeah and some people cispass face retards that doesn't mean hontie mcskullsize can magically pass
Most people really just haven't put in the necessary time, if you don't have a natural inclination to it, it legitimately might take in the low thousands of hours to be cis passing
>>43596502nta but i never even understood what any of these means i tried and got nowhere more practice leads nowhere
>>43595927>>43596326>Voice feminization doesn't workAccording to whom? Also part of the appeal is less strain on your voice. The day before surgery I was measured at a frequency of 202 Hz, which is good, but I was also putting such strain on my voice it was causing all sorts of issues and it was breathy in the extreme. Post-surgery pitch isn't a whole lot higher, but I can speak a lot more naturally and comfortably. Not falling into old habits is the hardest part, you need to retrain your voice. But yeah if you have a 50+ Hz gap in pitch to close, or you are one of those people who think voice training is gay, it's probably over for you. It's not magic.
>>43595927practice more
>>43596326I agree. I've been saying this for years. Why it doesn't work>genetic differences in vocal cord length and pharynx size>differences in accent>lots of famous trannies have all the money in the world yet their voices suckThe number one reason why I canned voice training was because it was getting me clocked more. /tttt/ doesn't believe me when I say this but I got far more stares and laughs voice training than I do just using my normal male voice. The number two reason was because it felt like I was putting on an act. I don't want to talk in a fake, forced voice all day even if it passes perfectly. The reason reason for the frankly unscientific belief that voice training is 100% effective is just cope because it feels like part of transition under your control. Everything else is genetics or pay-to-win. Well sorry, variations in voices are obviously genetic also.I'm not against trying voice training, but if it doesn't work out, that's okay and you shouldn't be shamed for it.
I just think it's impossible. I approach it from a very mechanical perspective and it doesn't work like that. Raise larynx is the only part I understand.
