how do i fix my shitty frizzy agp hair? it's like a little curlier than wavy. i wash it with shampoo and then painstakingly finger comb with lots of conditioner in, finishing my combing with a wet brush before parting my hair and rinsing most of the conditioner out. then i coil it up and let it air dry while laying in bed!! but most of the time it comes out terrible or only looks decent for a few hours before it gets flat and frizzy again. i can't get a comb through it when it's dry even if i just showered. i've never noticed any split ends. i trim a couple inches off every couple months. what am i doing wrong??? i just want normal woman hair. i wear a hood a lot because im ashamed of it and dysphoric about it
i think your bed might be messing up your hair
but also how often are you washing? your hair might be a little dry, try using something like coconut oil
>>43602594>then i coil it up and let it air dry while laying in bed!! don't lay down in bed with wet hair you retard
>>43602594you cant just lay down with wet hair
look up the "curly girl method" - there are lots of options and they have ways to help figure out what will work for your specific situation. you probably need some kind of gel/mousse/cream leave-in. i think silk pillowcases are also supposed to help with hair health.
no leave in? With curling hair there are spots that break more than split, so frizz is sometimes just those spots that make the curl happen breaking because of poor treatment. lots of people find dry brushing terribly damaging. My back length hair had basically half broken off because I thought being male meant I could just ignore basic hair care, had to cut back to my chin to get rid of the damage I did aggressively combing/brushing
>>436025941. Use conditioner that's specifically designed for curly hair, aussie miracle curls has worked great for me. Apply it first in the shower and use a wide tooth comb to detangle, then let it sit for 10 minutes while you do all the other washing. Also don't shampoo every day, only do it once or twice a week with a shampoo made specifically for curly hair2. don't brush curly hair, stop doing that shit immediately3. don't go to bed with wet hair wtf, shower a few hours before bed, apply a hair cream, let it air dry fully before laying down4. either get a silk/satin pillowcase or silk bonnet to sleep in, any other fabrics will fuck up ur hair while you sleep5. try and figure out whether you have high porosity or low porosity hair. If you have high porosity hair (dries fast, frizzes easily) make sure you use a product with some kind of protein in it (mine has silk protein) so it keeps your hair from losing moisture and breaking easily
>>43602594Do you not put your hair up or in a bonnet to sleep?
>>43602594Don’t let it air dry use a blow dryer
>>43602594why are u laying down with wet hair also what is your pillow case or whatever u lay on made of? look up what materials work with your hair and get either new pillowcases or a bonnet made of whatever it is
to answer everyone's questions, i do sleep on silk pillowcases but i don't put my hair up in a bonnet. i wash it weekly because im a hikikomoder and i use the generic suave shampoo and conditioner that my mom buys for us from walmart x.x
>>43606014should i get a diffuser to dry my hair too??
