One thing that sucks about being a very clocky and obvious hon (in developed countries where outright violence is very rare) is when even other women and very pretty passing trans still treat you like a man. Not like they say or do anything outright but you can just sense them subconsciously tense up and close ranks like if a dude in a leather jacket walked in the room. The most rewarding moments from transition have been when another woman or trans saw and recognized my femininity with a light touch on the arm or a word like unironically “hey honey”
