Tenet (2020)

Its lowkey actually kino. I think it deserves a way higher rating. Its ambitious and isnt afraid of being too complicated for the audience to understand, thats something we as a society need to encourage in films. I personally didnt understand it most of the time either, but i still enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd probably benefit from rewatching it because i still dont quite undestand exactly how stuff is happening its quite complicated.
The twists at the end are really cool.

8.7, its better than all bond movies after craig's casino royal

More in depth review:

The concept is brilliant and it feels like its being applied in 3 different ways
>Time reversal/timetravel
Which is joined with
>Inversion
And then the most mind boggling part
>effect causing.. cause uhhh
>the effect is the cause(?)
Trying to grapple all 3 during the movie is fun and hard and the final arc with the blue and red team is basically the culmination of all these applications being applied simultaneously and quite honestly i have no idea whats going on but basically you cant think linearly which is literally stated.
And this is compounded by the fact that the film states that
>whatever happens will happen
And when you combine that axiom with
>effect is the cause when something is inverted

Yea im gonna need a while to process this one.. its hard..

Debbie looks pretty cool in that viltrumite uniform desu

Any movie reccomendations? I just watched the straight story today and it was pretty heartwarming. No Lynch movie reccomendations, I'm already gonna watch all those.

Yeah Tenet is pretty cool and gets way too much undeserved hate. As long as you just accept the reverse time mechanic at face value and don't think too hard about it, its actually a really cool plot device that I've never seen before. Props to Nolan for actually planning it all out and making the timeline traceable and logical, even if it's a bit confusing at first glance. Not to mention Washington and Pattinson killed it as a duo
