My endo has me on 100mg spiro and I don't like the frequent bathroom trips. I'll literally go to the bathroom and have to go again on my way out sometimes. Is there an alternative I can ask for or smth I can do to decrease the frequency of urination. It's frustrating having to pee ALL THE TIME
I asked earlier but the thread got nuked for having rainbow dash ;~;
>>
was typing a response in the other thread when it got nuked but I would seriously recommend you try asking for like Bicalutamide or Cyproterone or anything else because yeah the bathroom visits are obviously miserable but the low potassium is really bad for your brain
>>
how long hrt? what are your levels like? if your t is already nearly completely supressed, just get on injections and drop spiro. or do cypro instead. or bica.

I'm meeting with my Endo sometime this month so I'll ask about those. Ive heard of the kidney problems but I never really heard of the brain stuff with spiro
>>
It was a big thing I wanted to avoid when talking about it because the chronic low potassium is infamous for having long term brain fog and tiredness and memory and moodswing stuff and I already have enough of that lol

6 months hrt, my t was still like 110~ish last time I checked but I'm doing another blood test later this week and hopefully it'll have been nuked by now

You're telling me my constant mood swings haven't been caused mostly by E But from the spiro? Aw hell

Bicalutamide
Stay away from cyproterone, shit is actual poison

I don't understand. Spiro Increases potassium.
>>
>>43613122
Yeah it's just cause potassium is how the brain sends signals and Spiro tells your kidneys to pee it out so obv I've heard mixed things but objectively low potassium is bad for your brain and Spiro makes you pee out your potassium so that's a pretty obv connection
idk unfortunately theres not really good long term studies on it

Either does the same thing
too low starves your neurons too high Fry's them
>>
>>43613196
shit your right I've been awake way to long but too high does the same thing like too low or too high voltage in a circuit they both cause issues
>>
>>43613177
Yeah bical is your friend
>>
>>43613203
SPIRO INCREASES POTASSIUM
YOU ARE POOPING FROM YOUR MOUTH
>>
>>43613287
Not op
The only reason why I don't switch to bica is because my body is extremely sensitive to spiro and 25 mg and go a very long way

yeahhh lmao I was doing night shift and didn't crash today lmao

but I did actually look it up your right but the symptoms of too high potassium are also fatigue memory loss confusion moodswing etc so like doesn't really matter at the end
