>has high success rate in “curing” addictions to hard drugs and other mental habits

Does anyone know if ibogaine could get rid of my gender dysphoria? I wonder if they’ll start pushing it in conversion therapy

psychedelic drugs usually do the reverse of curing dysphoria

Psychedelic drugs also have a very low rate of curing any kind of addiction or eating disorder. Ibogaine is a very specific drug.

You keep talking about it like it’s LSD or Ayahuasca. Do your research and I’d be happy to talk.

>Ibogaine is a powerful psychoactive alkaloid derived from the root bark of the African shrub Tabernanthe iboga. It is known for its "addiction-interrupting" properties, as it can dramatically reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings for substances like opioids, alcohol, and cocaine.
I don't see why I should think of this as significantly different from psilocybin, which also is associated with reduction in addictions
