Every single time oldfag trans women who were here in the mid 2010s start talking together they start casually slipping in the amount of time they've been on hrt. And all of it is because back in the day we remember the susans place and /r/transpassing asshole threads where people had screenshot folders full of ugly trans women. Even if we didn't participate in the cruel posting or regret participating we are aware of the "if you waited X amount of time you're AGP and you look like this reddit screenshot" meta. The atmosphere on this board back then was that trans women are bad unless they meet a certain standard, transphobia exists because we are cringe, if I do not pass I am a worthless freak. And we really hated ourselves. When you see someone go "I'm 32, I've been on hrt for 13 years" what they're communicating is that they look somewhat normal. The insecurity produced by those mean threads have been like a permanent marionette strings. Henceforth I will no longer mention the age at which I transitioned.
