I'm first for once!
me: https://vocaroo.com/137GZ9Ux5NOL

I resisted the urge to rerecord so it could be as candid and off-the-cuff as possible
I've been vaping weed again lately (bad I know), and I'm still trying to figure out how to use my voice when I get the little bit of congestion/throat phlegm you get from regular weed use, so my voice may sound a little rougher than normal

Passes. It's a little dark/deep but still within the female range. Honestly very pretty voice nona, great job with your voice training.
>>
>>44291475
You have a faggy tranny voice already just voice train! It is close to passing and should pass to like 95% of people but resonance could need slight improvement.
>>
>>44291475
thank you nona! you made my day a lot better
you have a fantastic starting point. I totally feel what you're saying about fearing having an inauthentic voice
it might help to remember that everyone trains their voice to some extent; we start imitating others' vocal habits until they become our own in a real sense
I agree with the other nona who say you'll pass easily if you work at it
recenter away from nasality, speak with a little more breath without being breathy, and keep your voice out of your chest, and you'll be 80% of the way there. the rest is brightness, intonation, and cadence
good luck :)
>>
>>44291475
also I wanted to add that you should just lean into having an imperfect voice at first. once you have something you feel comfortable "presenting" to the public, it's important to take it out in the real world to gain stamina, see how people respond to it, and make it a part of your real day-to-day life
eventually it just becomes your voice

for me, just guess letters cuz I'm doin it for funsies

>>44291475
you sound light enough that you could be on the deeper end of a cis woman voice, there's also at least a couple people I knew who were ftm for a period of time so their voices end up sounding like this lol but people don't usually think much of it if u look girl enough

>>44290843
your voice totally passes, even more amazing that you're high while speaking
>>
>>44292450
thank you so much!
I could see this being a fairly far along FTM voice or more likely an early MTF voice
what have you done so far?

when doing fem voice you sound fem and it has a specific unremarkable quality to it. you sound normal and that's good. practice around there until youre comfortable speaking clearly

turn fruity into bright and you're like 70% of the way there :)

>>44292773
you've done a really good job with pitch elevation but I actually think you should drop that almost completely
your natural pitch reads as "deeper voiced woman" to me, and if you focused on having musical rhythm and softer enunciation, you'd sound pretty good
I actually preferred your more natural voice
maybe think of that higher pitch you started your recording with as the height of your voice that you can push to expressively when you modulate pitch
also note that your pitch elevation, while good, is pushing you into a monotone that doesn't sound as natural as your regular voice does
if you even just repositioned your voice into your throat you'd sound pretty good

>>44292975
this sounds pretty good at the bottom line. it sounds almost like you're scrunching your nose or squeezing your lips to your teeth; your pronunciation is overlapping, if that makes sense? words are clearly delineated but it's like you're speaking in cursive
are you determined to have a bright "sparkly 21 year old" voice? that's the direction this tends and you're doing quite well at it
but if the pitch is too effortful it might be worth dropping back a little more into your soft palate for some grounding
right now your voice sounds sort of forward in the nose

really?
https://voca.ro/1b6dQ2JfYM9q
>>
>>44293643
yes
or maybe to be slightly more precise the amount of work necessary to make it a natural-sounding fem voice is trivial
I'm sure it's hard to hear it from your end but when I try to place the voice on a woman in my head, it works like 80% of the time
your voice is sitting in your throat and you're more monotone than many women is a main barrier right now
the pitch itself and even the basic qualities of your voice are pretty andro already
>>
>>44293565
ok so basically i sound autistic thats what im getting from the cursive pronunciation comment.i feel like a lot of the input here is actually about how i could make myself sound less retarded but ill take it actually.
i dont think i have a problem with the pitch since ive been at this for many years and maintain around this level constantly. i do however tend to think i have very small or almost no vocal range to use when speaking conversationally. like, if im talking and try to mimic a different voice it immediately becomes troon sounding. i cant raise my voice at all to yell or make the pitch any higher without stress.
i attribute my lack of a vocal range to how i get my voice clocked so much because i feel like i probably just sound like a monotone autist stuck in a high pitch to afab ears.

>i sound autistic
no, you sound like you're redesigning how you speak. it's fine
>i feel like a lot of the input here is actually about how i could make myself sound less retarded but ill take it actually.
it's more we want to point out the attention-grabbing elements of voices so we can fine-tune them and that does feel painful, speaking from experience
>i dont think i have a problem with the pitch
agreed. your pitch is good. vocal quality and relaxation are the keys now
>i do however tend to think i have very small or almost no vocal range to use when speaking conversationally
I'd agree with that too. this is just accomplished with singing and practice if you really want to develop more range
>like, if im talking and try to mimic a different voice it immediately becomes troon sounding
be kinder to yourself please. it's just a voice in progress. a little cringe is natural. lean into it
> i cant raise my voice at all to yell or make the pitch any higher without stress.
just strength and practice, from experience. my first year of trying to use my voice at my job (substitute teacher) was miserable and painful, but I got a lot of good feedback and testing so I could eventually made a voice that felt natural to me
>monotone autist stuck in a high pitch to afab ears.
don't worry about what cis girls or anyone else thinks of your voice. use their reactions as input if you want but give yourself patience and time. you'll get there. speaking as someone whose voice was cringe as fuck for like 1.5 years. you get there

I think you sound more female but it is a bit deep and monotone and gravely. I would think you’re either a depressed woman or trans I guess? I think you can up the pitch a bit if your physicality allows you to do that without going into falsetto. Also, maybe try to remove the gritty quality and it would probably pass extremely well.
Can you review mine maybe? >>44294241
>>
>>44295319
you sound like a southern church lady lol i wouldn't clock you but i might fear you

the grittiness has been in my voice since puberty i guess, honestly don't know what to do about it
pitch is difficult for me to maintain at a higher level without feeling strained too but I am getting glottoplasty soon

You deserve to be submissive for when a man decides to force feminize or sissify you. You will love your injections.
trans women only purpose is to be on their knees begging for cum and play with their ass.
Why are twinks at such risk of potentially becoming a future troon?

Closer to passing but still a bit clocky. Sounds like you're straining your voice to get to where you are, so more practice will help a lot.
>>
>>44297370
Ah that's a shame. I don't think I'm straining my voice though, if anything it's hard for me to talk in any other way besides like this

i feel like im necroing this thread since it hasn't had many replies since a bump but bust my chops girls

>>44297099
this one isn't so bad but i think you need to work on your vocal brightness, it sounds kinda like you're chewing on your words a bit. like i forget if "ee-ification" is a commonly used term or not, but you can kinda shape your mouth more like you're saying the letter e and it'll just naturally sound brighter. Some of this might just be due to you reading from a script, I think people naturally have a bit of a deeper resonance and pitch when they do that.
