lol i just got a out of the hospital yesterday and i'm on a librium detox for the next few days. odds are i finish the librium and stay sober for a like a week, go to a couple meetings and half ass it then go straight back to drinking. i'm such a fucking loser

>>44442190i wouldn't even mind this situation so much if it weren't like, the 8th time i've done this. i'm turning into a frequent flyer and it's embarrassing. i used to go to the detox ward and rehab when shit like this happened but now i just take my librium prescription and go home and get on my with my life. can't be bothered to pretend like i'm committed to long term sobriety anymore, only reason i bother going to the hospital at all is because i'm not ready to die just yet. suxx cause there was a point in my life where i was pretty involved in the recover community and had decent sober time and it was so much better then my life now.

I don't drink anymore but when I was young I'd drink as much as a vodka bottle by myself along with cannabis, I barely remember those years, now that I look back I think I just wanted to die, not anymore, love life.I'd still drink but I guess my liver is fucked up, alcohol makes me feel terrible now.

I'll mix with with diet soda, or water if I have nothing else, learning to pace yourself is the biggest hurdle. Otherwise I'd recommend wine or cider, tastes better than beer and won't make you blackout drunk like spirits.

Benzos aren't great but they probably are less damaging to your body compared to long term alcoholism, as long as you don't mix the two.
